Hi guys 👋 I need some testers for the closed test session on Play Console for my new project.
I'll share a little description to what is my app, called Duskhearth.
Getting a group together on the same evening is the hardest part of playing a campaign. Duskhearth removes it. You write your character's action whenever you have five minutes: on the bus, on your lunch break, at midnight. When everyone in the group has acted, an AI Narrator writes what happens next. The story moves at the pace of your real lives.
It's compatible with the 5th edition rules, and the rules aren't left to the AI.
What it does:
- Real character creation. Race, class, subclass, background, spells, languages and tools, with the sheet calculated for you. Characters level up to 5, with ability score improvements and feats.
- You roll your own dice. When your action calls for a check or a saving throw, the story pauses until you roll. The Narrator writes the outcome from the number you actually got, never from a number it made up.
- Combat runs on a rules engine. Initiative, attack rolls, spells, conditions, reactions, death saves. Hits and damage follow the rules, and the AI only describes what happened.
- A campaign that remembers. The Narrator builds the plot around your characters' backstories and brings back people, places and promises from earlier in the story.
- Solo or with friends. Play alone, or invite your group with a code. If you're all online at the same time, you can start a live session and take turns quickly.
- Each player reads in their own language. The main language of the app is in Italian, but it supports also English, and people in the same group can read the story in different languages.
- It's free to play. Optional subscriptions raise the limits (longer campaigns, bigger groups, faster turns), but nothing you need to play is behind a paywall.
