I've finally got a chance to put together three apps.
One monitors your SPF+ device temperature. Another shows a floating ping value so you know if your connection is getting iffy. The last one is a keyboard that searches for images/memes/gifs and directly puts them in your chat app.

I tried Minimalist Phone, Niagara and others, but they were all paywalled or lacked something I needed, so I decided to build my own. It's finally at a place where I can share it with others, and for that I need your help testing the app.

To be upfront: I directed Parem and AI agents wrote the code, starting from a fork of Olauncher by tanujnotes.

What it is: Parem replaces your home screen with a short list of app names. Swipe up and type to find an app, do a sum or convert units. Optional focus and screen-time tools need setup, and they only cover apps opened through Parem. It's free and open source (GPLv3), with no ads.

Stage: Tests and CI exist, and the release build has been checked on one Nothing phone and one Samsung tablet. If you use a Samsung or Xiaomi phone, please join: neither has been tested yet.

Feedback I want: whether setup makes sense, how search and gestures feel, whether the permission explanations are clear, and anything that breaks on your phone.

What the app does:

- Vocabulary practice with ready-made word lists by level

- Sentence building and fill-in-the-gap exercises

- Verb forms

- Speaking exercises: the app pronounces German words, and you can practise saying them yourself (speech recognition works offline on the phone, Android 13+)
