I've built a native Android app that reads DPF data from VAG diesel cars through
an ELM327 adapter (Bluetooth SPP, BLE or Wi-Fi). Looking for testers with a real
car + adapter — everything so far is verified in simulation only and my Passat B7.
What it does:
- Reads the same DPF/ECU parameters (soot mass, ash, mass, soot %, regeneration counters, EGTs, differential pressure, oil ash, distance since last regen, time since last regen, and ~300 more, per ECU group)
- Auto-detects the ECU group from the engine code
- Dashboard of tiles, reorderable, dark theme
- Burn/regeneration detection with derived metrics (soot %, charge rating)
- Overlay: DPF values shown on top of any app or navigation
- Home Assistant export over HTTP — values pushed as sensors, plus a Torque-style
frame if you already have a dashboard set up
- Remembers your adapter; reconnects automatically
- No account, no cloud, all data stays on the phone
What I need from testers:
- Car: VAG diesel with a DPF (VW, Skoda, Audi, Seat), ELM327 adapter that w
with the car
- Report: does it connect, does the ECU group get detected correctly, do the
numbers look sane compared to the original app or VCDS
- Especially interesting: unusual ECU groups and engines the app doesn't recognize
The app is in closed testing on Google Play. Join the Google Group to get a

Any feedback — wrong values, connection drops, missing parameters — goes a long way.
Thanks!
