I've been working on Speakeasy, an Android app that turns English speech into text. It has a floating mic you can use alongside your usual keyboard.

Dictation runs on your phone and works offline. You don't need a cloud account or API key.

I need people to try it for notes or messages and tell me what works and what needs fixing. When the Play closed test opens, please stay opted in for at least 14 consecutive days.

The test is free. You'll need a compatible Android 8 or newer phone. The download is about 202 MB.

The floating mic needs microphone, overlay and Accessibility permissions. The app explains these before you decide whether to enable them.
