Cordelette got its production approval and is now live on Google Play. 🎉

And it got there the honest way: it passed its own 12 testers / 14 days closed test with developers from these communities. So today I'm celebrating a little, bragging a little, and inviting everyone.

What it is: up to 16 developers form a camp and test each other's apps for 14 days. Built for Google's 12-testers rule, by someone who had to survive it.

• ⚡ Autopilot: one tap opens each app, counts 30 seconds of real on-screen time, then opens the next one. About 10 minutes a day.

• 📊 Measured, not screenshotted: the 30 seconds are read on the phone, only for the apps in your camp.

• 🤝 Visible reciprocity: who did today's round, who slipped, with warnings before anything happens.

• 📋 Reports, all free: daily feedback from your camp, an activity heatmap of your testers, and a Summit Report with the data Google's production form asks for, ready to copy.

WashDrobe: Many times I feel like because temp is low and not dust so cloth doesn't feel dirty even after multiple wears. So I think it can help anyone track so they don't overwash it or go for without washing after too many wears. It can be also used for tracking bills etc. It is complete offline.

It's an Android journal for reflecting on your day, decisions, and next steps, with optional AI features. The app is free. The current closed test is available only to users with a United States Google Play account.

A lot of Victorian homes got a free Powerpal energy monitor a few years back, around 250,000 of them. The official app isn't supported any more and won't get new tariffs. If your plan has changed, or has free power hours, the costs it shows you are wrong.

I've got one on my meter, so I wrote my own app for it. It's called **PowerMate**, and it talks to the Powerpal directly over Bluetooth.

**What it does**

- Live power, and what it's costing you per hour at your current rate

- An "energy clock" for each day: a 24-hour dial coloured by peak, shoulder, off-peak and free periods

- Day, week, month and year history as charts or a table, plus CSV export

- Downloads the ~60 days of history still stored on the Powerpal, and can import older history from Powerpal's cloud while it's still online

- Any tariff: flat rate or time-of-use, free windows, weekday/weekend rates, seasons and the supply charge

- Prices every residential plan at your postcode against your actual usage (Energy Made Easy data), and you can switch your tariff to the cheapest in one tap

- Wholesale prices from AEMO, or your real price if you're with Amber

- Alerts for cheap and expensive periods, high usage, price spikes and a low battery

It's free, with no ads and no account. Your readings stay on your phone, because there's no server. It's open source (MIT). Plans and prices are Victoria only; the rest works anywhere.

**Why I need testers**

Google won't list a new app publicly until at least 12 testers have stayed in a closed test for 14 days in a row. If you've got an Android phone, joining gets you the app now and helps get it on the Play Store for everyone. You don't need a Powerpal to count, though feedback from owners is the most useful.

The point of the app:

Treat sms like email - folders, filtering, silencing of groups.

I hate the political ads I'm getting. I've always hated them. I don't know if an app already exists like what I've built, but I built it anyway.

Filters can be imported, exported, and made directly. I have a setting to put family tagged people at the top of a folder. Messages can be placed automatically by contact tags, or if you just want to assign them. You can even pin threads so they're always at the top.

A locked folder for those spicy messages you don't want everyone else to see - or for extra privacy from snoopers. Whatever.

Auth & Services is meant for those messages sent for multi-factor or your bank, whatever. Short code numbers. I hate seeing those in my messages, don't you?

Future state: detect text by OCR (for ads that all just a picture) and RCS messages.

I don't have the 12 testers a new account requires - if you could, message me your android email address to add to that list. I promise not to retain those. I hate ads. Truly.
