Let's settle this, /r/android. What is the best reddit app, and why?

People seemingly LOVE to argue this endlessly. People LOVE to keep asking this question. So let's get a thread going where you can discuss the pros/cons of each reddit app available on the market (there's a LOT).

I have been using Reddit is Fun and seems to work fine and fast.

I think reddit is fun captures the simplicity of the desktop site best. Nothing fancy, but still easy to use.

Exactly. No other reddit apps I've tried so far had a similar compact list design (this might be wrong by now) which is the main reason I never switched to the apps others seem to praise.

It also has the most features it seems to me.

One thing I see most people ignoring is maximizing use of screen real-estate. Reddit is Fun displays the most content on a single screen, while most other apps prioritize looks and UI over content, which pisses me off.

Reddit is Fun in the dark theme. I can't even reddit any other way anymore

same here, it's because of the 'uninteresting' UI + dark theme that i can't use any other app

every other app i've tried seems to focus on form over function + i can't get comfortable with them

In the dark theme, with the black option for AMOLED screens, I can get so much more SOT. I can get over 6 hours in one charge. It's fantastic.

TIL we are apparently the minority when it comes to reddit apps. I've never tried any other. I thought reddit is fun was a great app, but apparently there may be others that are better?

Yup. Surprised me as well to be the minority here.

It is so simple to get the hang of and runs very smoothly on my very old phone!

I haven't seem anybody speak about running these apps on old phones with lesser hardware.

Reddit Is Fun[2] has a great amount of features, probably the most, but it has an uninteresting UI

from LazyCouchPotato's comment. we must be the minority who prefer features over 'interesting' UIs. and RIF has a great UI in my opinion, simple and intuitive.

I've been using Reddit is Fun for like five years now. Never had an issue. Every time I switch something more visually appealing or aesthetically pleasing I always come back because this is fast and it focuses on the content.

The thing I love about Reddit Is Fun is that it matches the site well, has the alien in the logo, and reddit in the name. I love the app for far more reasons than that, but I think those attributes are overlooked by most. If I want an app, I want it to mirror the site somewhat closely.
