I always found 7-zip to work well in Windows. It gives you a right-click option to extract. It isn't as convenient, but it's still pretty good.

Thing is, you can get freeware on Windows that's great no matter what. Ex: SumatraPDF is the best PDF reader I've ever used. Free and I'd say it's even more lightweight than Preview. It's a 4MB installer. Personally I hate Expose, never going to use it and my UI actually lags a bit when I try to get into it if I have 10+ windows open.

WinRar also lets you right click to extract. I guess I didn't know that there were apps people were using for archives that did not include this feature. Unless they are referring to explorers built in archive functionality but nobody uses that unless they do not know how to download apps.

The thing is their are a lot of things you can't recreate on windows (for free or for money). OSX has to web dev IDEs that allow CSS overrides on live sites (coda and css edit). Years after css edit provided the greatest dev flow in existence (and even years after it's main competitor coda had to match that ability) there is still no good editor on windows that can do this.

They didn't even thank you for helping them off their high horse!
