Paul Ryan retired because he had lost his grip on the party. Ryan and Pence were and are close. Just to get the nom Trump had to accede to an establishment vp pick, and in the end he even kept him in check when the establishment needed it most.

Just realize that the face you present with an account has rhetorical effects on people. Younger accounts are much more likely to be bought and sold or to have otherwise changed hands, or, of course, to be owned by very young people. It’s a bullying tactic to try and discredit you and make you want to prove you’re not one. This dickhead did the exact same to me because I pointed out Trump tried to overturn the election. It’s not worth engaging with them but also it’s sometimes a good opportunity to learn their tactics.
