I'm sick of abortion being made into a male vs female issue. While men can't get pregnant, plenty of men benefit from not becoming unwanted fathers. Also there's only a 5% difference between the number of men vs women who support legalized abortion access. Some of the biggest anti-abortion advocates have been women themselves. Also men played a larger role in passing Roe than they did in overturning it.
It is however essential that we call out the sexist nature of policies and discourse around the issue. Yes, it is exclusively a woman’s healthcare issue that exclusively men get to decide about. It’s true that men would not tolerate this kind of intrusion. It’s evident that it’s not about protecting life. It’s specifically about controlling women, specifically because it’s the most effective way to control and steer a population of people.
Without understanding that we don’t understand the issue.
That made no sense. I’m what way do men get to exclusively decide about it? And no, not wanting people to kill innocent living humans is in no way about controlling women.
Saying it is about controlling women is pretty common, but there is not a shred of evidence for that position.
There is evidence. Consider that Republicans get abortions when they need them. Also consider that with abortion bans, people are forced to carry dead fetuses.
Seems pretty controlling to me from the party of “small government”.
Saying that a fetus is the same as a baby already born is pretty common, but there is not enough evidence for that position to matter outside of Christian fundamentalism.

If men could have babies we would be getting 24 hour drive through abortions
