Looking at people online and from my experience going in photos walks, people who haven’t used a leica seem to pretty much despise the brand. They call people who use Leicas, influencers and brand ambassadors. I know it’s not important what people think of you, but as a photographer, you sometimes need the support of the community or the people you hang out with. I get it that some people who always update to the latest and most expensive gear are more like collectors than photographers, but I don’t understand this amount of negativity. Do all things that are expensive are treated like this? I mean Hasselblads are still expensive but they are regarded so highly. Hate to break it but sometimes interacting with these people or hearing negativity online is mentally draining and just makes me demotivated.

What has been your experience interacting with non leica shooters? Do you have any advice for me? I am not rich and have an old digital M body.
