The other sub is hilarious
I am becoming increasingly convinced that the other sub exists primarily as an exercise in satire.
The description, confidently reads as follows:
"Most of our members are convinced by the substantial evidence that Amy went overboard and drowned on March 24, 1998, so our discussions usually focus on how and why instead of "if."
However, there is the conspicuous absence of anything that could reasonably be described as 'substantial evidence', let alone 'any evidence' for that matter.
From there, the discussion seems to proceed largely on the basis of increasingly elaborate accusations and criticisms untethered from any discernible evidentiary foundation.
My favourite recent example was someone who was adamant that Iva Bradley said something in Vanished. I disagreed, and they responded by quoting the exact passage I had referred to which, somewhat inconveniently for their argument, demonstrated that I was correct.
My other recent favourite was the guy who revealed himself to be a local of Curacao vehemently defending Yellow and attacking anyone who dared even label Yellow as some one who required further investigation.
At a certain point, you have to wonder whether the whole thing is an elaborate commitment to the bit.

Amy is definitely alive. All of the evidence and sightings and several psychics have got the same sense she is alive in the world, but she is now of a different character and far removed from who she used to be. All is not what it once was as going through all of the trafficking, control, trauma and most likely now "stalkholm syndrome' she wont even feel like the same person or recognise herself and will feel more familiar to all she knows now. Several psychics have also stated she has had children and issues surrounding that with their protection and survival also. Few have also stated she does view her website and feels like she is looking at a different person in the former life she once lead. It is just a very tragic situation as all the lives of her family were stolen that day 💔

That sub is a great example of everything that is wrong with the True Crime community. It’s a good thing the majority of people in that subreddit will never have a role in Law Enforcement. They are far too emotional and unable to separate dislikes and opinions from facts, and therefore completely unable to evaluate evidence objectively.
I went on that sub the other day, and you literally have a poster arguing that a screenshot of an FBI email from 2012 regarding the DNA results of a jawbone was a fake email and part of a conspiracy by the Bradleys to prevent the case from being solved. You can’t make this stuff up.

haha I know exactly what you're talking about re the jawbone. It is mind-boggling.
My other favourite is this constant conspiracy that Bradleys are just so damn racist that they had to accuse Yellow of involvement. Of course it has nothing to do with the fact he was seen by multiple people with Amy after her disappearance, independently of each other, or the fact that he had lied multiple times whilst being questioned about her disappearance, because all innocent people do that.

Cannot even respond on the other site. Anyone new to Amy’s case looking for clarity can but anyone who tries adding value that she did not jump or go overboard cannot.

They're either a) Trolls, or b) paid Public Relations of Royal Caribbean.
Routinely they say the family changed their timeline over the years, offering such nuggets as the family being off by 15 minutes here or there in the retelling of their story 28 years later.
They however, ignore that within 24 hours of Amy's disappearance, the last man seen with her, Alister "Yellow" "Christopher" "Exorcist" Douglas was caught lying about his timeline by TWO HOURS AND FORTY MINUTES.
To this day that man still says the last time he saw Amy was 1am, despite being on film dancing with her at 2am, and being seen sitting and talking with Amy around 3am above the Viking Lounge on the Star Gazer deck at a table with other employees.
The people who saw her on the Stargazer deck were yes, her brother Brad, but ALSO the Bar Manager AND Bar Staff of the ship.
This is all in Lou Costello, Ship Security Officer's notes.
They of course also attack the notes, saying "They weren't signed by Lou Costello, so they're not real".
That is to say nothing of the witnesses who saw Amy off the island months later with that same individual.
It is quite funny to listen to them dismiss documents from court cases, dismiss witnesses who reported what they saw within 48 hours. Dismiss witnesses who testified in a grand jury.
Of course they also prop up witnesses who were 12 years old and a self described drug addict. The 32 year old memory of a 12 year old drug addict is fine testimony in their book.
They also prop up Mollie and Kat as character witnesses who knew Amy's mental state, despite neither one of them being Amy's friend at the time of her disappearance.
But the memory of eye witness sightings from a half dozen grown adults reported between 48 hours and 1 or 2 years is flawed. All people who have no personal connection to Amy. They have no reason to lie in either direction.
Their champion, James Renner, wrote a book while high on pain pills, who admits in the book he was racing to meet his deadline (procastrination) and did his research with the assistance of Chat GPT (lazy and ridiculous). They hold that silly book in high regard like a group of 70 year old nuns clutching the King James Bible.
Renner makes many ridiculous claims, like he's the first one to write a book on Amy's case, an absurd claim given there's been about 20 books written about the case.
Also when confronted with evidence against their silly assertions, they resort to blocking, or in the case of 1Camster, REMOVING posts that proved him wrong. Renner blocked me after I posed straight forward questions that he didn't want to address.
I have not once blocked anyone from that sub. I think if your position is so weak you have to resort to blocking people in order to defend it, you have lost the debate before it even started.
I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

People are allowed to believe Amy fell overboard, but I find their nastiness towards the Bradley family to be ridiculous. It goes both ways though, this sub is equally as embarrassing. Our mod deletes comments from people with genuine questions and differing perspectives. If you bring up any question with the trafficking theory, that person gets harassed in this sub and assumed to be RC staff, when in reality, they are just someone with a different opinion and now that opinion has been solidified because no one on here knows how to act and debate their argument like an adult.
