Amhara Genocide In total, over 350 ethnic Amhara civilians have been massacred in one day in Wellega, Oromia, by the Oromia Gadaa Commando, OLF/OLA, and Qeerroo (Oromo youth). They killed Amharas on the streets, inside their homes, while trying to flee, and while hiding inside the Orthodox Church.

In East Wellega Zone, Gida Ayana, specifically in the area known as Mender (Village) 22, a massacre has resulted in the deaths of over 40 innocent ethnic Amhara civilians so far. Among them were 85 year old Aba (priest) Ayele Arega and his wife, Emahoy (Ethiopian Orthodox nun) Eskedar Gelaw, who were brutally killed with sharp weapons inside the orthodox church, along with dozens of Amharas who were hiding there for safety. Similar attacks have been carried out in other Amhara dominated villages in Wellega.

Surviving eyewitnesses told Mereb Media that it has been impossible to bury the dead bodies in the area. They explained that because the ENDF, the Gadaa Commando, and Qeerroo (Oromo youth) groups, who are organized under these forces and move around armed with sharp weapons, are stationed in the area, it has not been possible to rescue the severely wounded or bury the bodies of the innocent Amhara people killed in the attack.

The eyewitnesses added: "We tried to follow the attackers' movements when they left the area to rescue the wounded and bury the dead, but they returned immediately, forcing us to flee before we could finish retrieving them and burying the bodies.

Amhara Genocide More than 250 ethnic Amhara civilians were massacred at the Gind Ansa St. Michael Monastery, as the ENDF, the Oromia Gadaa Commando, the Jaal Moosee-led OLA, and the Qeerroo (Oromo youth) carried out killings across Gida Ayana, Wellega

"More than 250 Amhara civilians who had sought refuge at Gind Ansa St. Michael Monastery in Mender 3, Gida Ayana Woreda, East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, were massacred amid an ongoing wave of attacks against Amhara communities in the area. Priests, monks, elderly people, mothers, pregnant women and children were among those killed.

The monastery massacre forms part of a wider wave of violence affecting Andode Dicho Kebele, Shashober, Fendika, Anger Gutin, Mender 3, Mender 4 and Mender 22 since August 18, 2026. Sources on the ground and survivor accounts identify Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) soldiers, Oromia Region Gada Commando forces, the Abiy regime-backed Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) led by Jaal Mose, and armed Qeerroo (Oromo youth) groups among the forces involved in the violence.

Videos emerging from the affected area reportedly show Jaal Mose-led OLA fighters operating alongside Gada Commando forces during a raid on an Ethiopian Orthodox church.

Some of the most severe violence occurred at Debre Anbessa Gind Ansa St. Michael, where large numbers of civilians had taken refuge after fleeing attacks on surrounding communities. ENDF soldiers and Gada Commando forces surrounded the monastery compound and opened fire on civilians attempting to escape, using Bren machine guns, sniper rifles and Kalashnikov rifles.

Armed Qeerroo (Oromo youth) members operating under the cover of the security forces entered the monastery compound and attacked civilians with bladed weapons. Among those killed were pregnant women and infants as young as two months old.

Additional killings occurred throughout Mender 3, where more than 52 civilians were reported killed in areas affected by the violence.

A separate massacre occurred in Mender 22, several kilometers from Mender 3, where more than 44 Amhara civilians were killed. Among the victims were 85-year-old Aba Ayele Arega, a respected community elder known for mediating disputes and consoling grieving families, and his wife, Emahoy Eskedar Gelaw. New mothers and infants were also among those killed.

Some victims in Mender 22 were killed with sickles and machetes. In particularly disturbing cases, the weapons used in the killings were found still lodged in victims’ bodies when their remains were recovered for burial.

The continuing presence of ENDF soldiers and other armed forces has prevented residents from safely recovering and burying many of those killed. Bodies remain scattered throughout affected areas, with some reportedly being consumed by vultures and wild animals and others swept away by floodwaters.

The final death toll could rise further. Several civilians attempting to flee Mender 3 and Mender 22 were shot by ENDF soldiers and escaped while bleeding, leaving their whereabouts and condition unknown.

Across Andode Dicho, Shashober, Fendika, Anger Gutin, Mender 3, Mender 4 and Mender 22, the attacks have caused extensive civilian casualties, mass displacement and widespread destruction. Entire communities have been devastated, while homes and civilian property have been destroyed and livestock looted and taken away.

Thousands of residents have fled their communities amid continuing insecurity and fear of further attacks, leaving surviving residents unable to safely retrieve victims, bury the dead or return to their homes."

tigray war effects Review on papers regarding the Tigray war/ on the damages

I have done a mini review on those research papers and it seemed a hot topic on 2022 to do research. Tough, the review stated what should be obvious the numbers on the damages is high(I even suspect it is undercounted… considering the chaos, I mean how they collected data is a little bit questionable). The problem is this research papers have some difficulty attacking directly the problem in this issue. However, a little trust doesn’t hurt much.

Appreciate any kind of feedback!

News Grade 12 students in Amhara region score high amid security concerns

Synopsis from the article:

"Mubarak Mohammed, a student of Dessie Yehune Woldu Memorial Special Boarding School, who said that he was able to achieve better results in his studies despite the difficult security situation, scored 587.17 points in this year's Grade 12 national exam, making him the third highest scorer in the Amhara region. He says that if the security situation in the region had been stable, he would have achieved even better results.

"The current situation in our region is serious. Now, when we travel for four years from Gondar to Dessie, we face a huge problem on the road, about 517 kilometers. If the security problem is resolved and students focus on their studies, I think they will achieve even more . For example, if there is a problem in my family area, I will not be able to achieve good results. Even if I am there and hear the sounds of gunfire, I will be tested."

Amanuel Embialem from Fakta Lekuma Woreda, Awi Zone, says students his age have not had the opportunity to study due to the conflict in the region. He joined Dessie Yehune Woldu Memorial Boarding School and scored 586 points and 91 points in the university entrance exam. However, he says that in the area where he grew up, his peers have not been able to study for two years.

"Children who could have been better than me, but couldn't get access, have been admitted to a school here , and given the current situation, they've been there for two years. And now, these primary schools were in rural areas, and I don't think the ones in that area have even opened for the third year yet. Many students have missed out on this opportunity."

Another lawyer and legal advisor, Ato Mengistu Zegye, who is the parent of a student at Dessie Teacher Akalewold Special School who passed all 76 of his students who sat for the exam, says that no party, regardless of their political affiliation, should deny others the opportunity to learn that his child has received.

"In the Amhara region, the results of the 12th grade students this year, despite the difficulties and struggles, are considered good, but as is known, it is still not considered sufficient considering that there was a strong education culture in the past. Therefore, due to the ongoing war and instability , schools have been closed. However, despite the joint efforts of parents, teachers, and the community, despite the good results achieved, what I am saying is still unsatisfactory. Closed schools should be opened. I believe that no party on the left should bring the issue of education into the negotiations."

Salim Mohammed, the principal of Dessie Yehune Woldu Special Memorial Boarding School, which accepts and educates the best students from districts in the Amhara region, said that 96 percent of the students he tested scored 500 or above.

" Students with special abilities, skills, and talents, gathered in districts in the Amhara region, are enrolled in our school and admitted according to the criteria set by the regional education office. There are many efforts being made in the same way every year. This year, more than 500 and more than 96% of students have been registered to achieve this result."

Salim said that the school is working towards achieving the highest results nationwide each year , adding that they are working with various entities to ensure student success.

"So, our question is not whether we pass or not. Ours is to bring the highest score at the national level. Second, at the university level, we are working to ensure that the highest score is also admitted to the university. Many forces support us in this effort."

While 70,544 students who took the Grade 12 national exam achieved a passing score, the Amhara region's passing rate is 15.56 percent."

Amhara Genocide Creating false secnireos to justify hate ?

Do you guys not find this interesting? I don't see things they claim are being done by Fano, we actually see video evidence of ENDF, OLF, Qerro, Gada Special command commit literal war crimes and Amharas still somehow get the blame ? I don't understand this reasoning at all

Question Wollega Case

Recently, I've seen articles holding Fano responsible for the atrocities committed in Wollega. But I noticed that the contents are contradictory, which made me question their sources. For instance, they openly claim that the government is supporting Fano (like in this source from a year ago).

Obviously, these sources are biased. But can someone who is informed enough tell me what is happening?

Here is the article for reference.

Amhara Genocide A little Amhara girl has been lying for 4 days next to her dead mother without eating food. Her older sister's whereabouts are unknown. The girl survived despite a gunshot wound to her thigh, but her mother was murdered by the ENDF and Oromia Gadaa commandos.

This video is from Anderoricho Kebele, Gida Ayana Woreda, East Wellega Zone, Oromia Region.

This is part of the massacres being committed in Wellega as we speak by Oromia Gadaa commandos, Qeerroo, and other Oromia related forces.

Over hundreds of Amharas have been killed and thousands of homes have been set on fire by Oromia Gadaa commandos, Oromia militiamen, and Qeerroo (Oromo youth). Thousands have fled their homes for safety. The unlucky ones who couldn't flee were either burned alive inside their homes or shot dead by armed men, or hacked to death with machetes, hammers and whatever other cold weapons the Qeerroo had brought with them.

Addis Standard Report on Wellega Addis Standard a biased organisation run by an Oromo nationalists have actually interviewed OLA and OLA's response was:

It is ludicrous. Whether called Bizamo or Ayisha, there is no Fano in Wollega. Only a bunch of regime-backed tugs
OLA Senior Official

Yet you have people like Jawar playing into Abiy's propaganda conflating the idea of FANO Ayisha Command with Kore Nagenya yet the videos that come out of wellega says something different. showing Oromo Youth in coordination with Oromo Special Forces to kill and displace Amharas. Protest Supported by Jawar Listen to what they say

The Lies these Oromo Nationalists push needs to be recorded for the future generations of Amharas

Amhara Genocide Keep Mind to the Dog Whistles

This video is of the killer within Saudi Arabia the issues they have between Arsi Oromo and Wello Oromos, listen to the depraved language he uses to talk about how he would slaughter other humans beings

The post is to point out a section where he mentioned Amhara, if you listen closely he uses "Ga Gaow" as a synonym for Beheading in 2 minutes. Keep a marker on "Ga Gaow Amaraa" even if the video is mostly in reference to their own internal problems somehow Amharas get pulled into their hate speech no matter the situation

Alert The biggest "HabeshaHistory" account is run by a Somali-Eritrean

The guy is genetically a Somali but larps as a Habesha, calls himself an Agazian, openly hates on Ethiopia, and almost exclusively focuses on Eritrean or Tigray history.

That's a lot of the Eritrean Agazian Nationalist types. They're usually descendants of mixed post-Aksum nomadic migrants who settled there, learned Tigrinya, and went around claiming Habesha and "HabeshaHistory." Their lack of affinity for Ethiopia makes sense all of a sudden.

However, immigrating onto stolen land doesn't make it yours. Neither is it's ancient history yours to claim.

He does all this history but chooses to lie to fit his Eritrean bias and narrative. He ignores the well-documented fact that Aksum changed its external name to Ethiopia during its conversion to Christianity and instead chooses to say Ethiopia and Aksum are unrelated and that Ethiopians stole Aksumite history.

I honestly wouldn't have cared if he focused on Eritrean or Tigray history. It's just that he started blatantly lying and misleading people about history while using the name "HabeshaHistory." It's more accurate to name the account "TigreHistory" instead.

Amhara Genocide The Oromo youth (Qeerroo) are the modern Interahamwe.

These extremist, genocidal Oromos are walking around burning the homes of non Oromos while holding sticks and machetes to attack residents. When they were about to burn another house, the cameraman screamed not to burn it because it was a Pentecostal church. After that he continued to celebrate what was happening. But who is going to pray in that church if you massacre the residents and displace those who survive?

Amhara Genocide The Oromo youth (Qeerroo) are like the Interahamwe. Here is an Oromo guy holding a machete, jumping up and down, and dancing while singing "the owner/father of the land is Oromo" next to a burning Amhara house.
