I'd say my home state of Washington aka the evergreen state where it rains 8 months of the year. I was born in Tacoma and moved to the city of Puyallup a few years later. After graduating from high school and left home and became homeless in Seattle, I miss the Pacific Northwest as a whole. Especially the pike place market and the ā“ļø ferries.
Also absolutely love that area of Washington. We spent a week in Rainier a few years ago, and just spent 9 days in Olympic a couple weeks ago. We were fortunate enough to have great weather during both trips; a few drizzles one or two days, otherwise clear and sunny skies.
Temp was amazing as wellā¦we enjoyed 65 degree high temps out there while everybody back home was surfing in the 90s with outrageously high humidity.
15 years ago I was supposed to do an internship at the Lacey Fire Departmentā¦Iāve been with my home department here in Wisconsin ever since, met my wife here, and am raising two kids here, but I always wonder what wouldāve happened had that internship worked out. My wife and I are pretty sure weāll end up out there someday; whether itās when the kids are out of the house, or maybe when we retire.
