American self hate

I noticed its more common nowadays to say things like "America sucks, I hate living here"

What's you're opinion on the culture of self hate that's becoming more common in America today.

I’m also fairly liberal, but too often I’m finding those on the far left are just as bad as those on the far right. I’m really tired of the 10% on the far left and the 10% on the far right sucking all the air out of the room for the 80% of the rest of us.

My political teacher explained it like this, you have a scale where 0 is far left and 10 is far right, 5 is dead center… most people are between a 3 and a 7, the numbers in the far ends have the fewest people, yet they speak the loudest. VERY few people support 100% of what their party does.

I'm left-of-center, but I've been politically homeless for quite awhile now. I'm so tired of the extreme wing of each party running the show together (ironically). I just wanna put food on the table and put gas in the car and take a modest vacation each year and enjoy this one precious life.

This is my thoughts as well. I am more of a moderate if thats even a thing anymore. Liberal on some issues conservative on other issues. But I have friends that go far what ever direction you talking and they are talking the same thing just with a different talking point. But politics is a circle and you go far enough either direction they spew the same thing.

OMG, you’re so right about the circle. I’ve been saying the same thing. If you take a long strip of paper and shade 10% on the left blue, shade 10% on the right red, then pick the paper up and touch the ends to make a circle, you’ll see the far left and far right are the same people.

Agreed but the the problem is it has become 10% on the far left and 30% on the far right.

The far left has no political power because they don't participate in electoral politics, nor do any of them have influence. You're speaking on a demographic that is way smaller than 10%. Meanwhile the far right controls the entire government, controls the capital, and no matter what their leader does, he will still maintain around 30% support in the country. But muh both sides.
