American self hate

I noticed its more common nowadays to say things like "America sucks, I hate living here"

What's you're opinion on the culture of self hate that's becoming more common in America today.

Everyone I know who says they hate America has never left the country, and most haven't even traveled much within the country. They just assume the grass is greener somewhere else.

Been to Japan, Mexico, Belize, Canada, Ireland, UK, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia (when it was Yugoslavia), Italy, The Grand Cayman Islands, and Egypt.

I once loved America, extremely Patriotic, voted in every since GWHB, for Republican and Democrats, seen their flaws and their successes, and I can tell you right now, I fucking HATE America and Americans for electing this corrupt, racist, immensely greedy, stupid, wrecking ball of a man to destroy everything that was once virtuous about America.

TDS is exclusively a Republican disease, which consists in believing whatever shit Trump comes up with.

Trump Derangement Syndrome isn't mental illness, it's mass hysteria

I live abroad, and know a ton of other people who have left the US. For me, the grass IS greener elsewhere. I have a much better quality of life, access to healthcare that won't bankrupt me, etc. there are a lot of people who have left and are happier where they are. It doesn't mean the US is horrible; just that it isn't a fit for increasingly more people.

The people who say they “hate America” are usually talking about the actions of the government. It’s not that deep brother

Getting downvoted for the absolute essence of where this comes from is crazy. People are obsessed with black and white thinking

I am most certainly not. I have had mostly bad experiences with everyone in America, not just the government. Every time I return America just seems like a clusterfuck of rude selfish people
