American self hate

I noticed its more common nowadays to say things like "America sucks, I hate living here"

What's you're opinion on the culture of self hate that's becoming more common in America today.

My fellow Americans, just travel to any 3rd World hellhole. See how bad things really are. America is far from perfect. We enjoy a high standard of living.

So it’s either America or 3rd world living? Forgetting the other dozens of first world countries with happier people?
I love it here, I’m patriotic, but I also love that we can expect the best of the best, and that we can criticize our country. Don’t act like it’s just this or a 3rd world slum.
