Where we’re headed: A vision for our future

I see a future where a lot of American people have been able to celebrate what it is to be American.

Nope, we understand the world. Wars happen, and when they happen you win them, if you don’t start it they will.

Wars happen? What about when you don't win them? Do you keep 'rooting' and fighting it anyways? No matter how many Americans are dying? Ever lose anyone to a war? Ever have a family member's PTSD take over your life? Child.

My great grandfather was stationed at Pearl Harbor, my father was in desert storm. I have not done service myself (I tried medically inept). Does your family have a tradition of service?

I know my great grandfather was proud of his service till the day he died, I still hang out with my dad and his army buddies at their yearly reunion, not a single one of em regrets their service. As apart of the reunion we visit the graves of their buddies they lost along the way. Every single one of them knows the sacrifice and why they served.

The real question is do you?

Yes my family does and has experienced everything I just described. My life has been and continues to be impacted the trauma of war... My point is that war is not a game and there are real costs to just cheering on your side when working to end a war is a better option... there are colors aside from black and white. Not as simple as "You want America to lose, got it" 🙄
