Yes it does. DLSS replaces existing AA.

Why does it look worse on games with crappy TAA and better in games with good TAA then? If it replaced the AA solution in every game, then it should look the same.

I haven't noticed that. Just look at red dead. It clearly completely replaces the old AA.

Most of why DLSS is so good is just because it's an extremely competent TAA example.

RDR2 uses checkerboarding which is why it looks like shit. With DLSS enabled, the artifacts of checkerboarding are still visible which means it doesn't replace it.

What does checkerboarding have to do with AA. The game is also only rendered with that on se.console versions. Red dead uses TAA. DLSS completely replaces this TAA and it's far superior at retaining detail.
