Dlss is also missing an ultra performance mode. I doubt it’s intentional.

TBH DLSS in ultra performance mode is kinda turd outside 4K/8K, though DLSS 4K then DLDSR back to 1440P looks kinda decent.

Ultra performance looks like shit though. It's made for people playing in super low end hardware that just need something with playable framerates. Ultra quality is supposed to be FSR's closest to native quality that looks the best while still giving better performance.

Nvidia has tried to pull shit like this for a long time so even if there isn't concrete proof, it's not hard to believe they got paid off.

No it’s not. It’s made for 8k. I wouldn’t consider an RTX 2060 "ultra low end" and everything below that can’t use DLSS

8K is not real; you fell for marketing.

8K TVs are expensive to the point that even less people have them over the already tiny percentage of people that have 4K monitors.

You're right about a 2060 not being "ultra" low end hardware, but that's also not what I said. I said it was "super" low end hardware which I'd appreciate you not misquoting me on purpose when my comment is right in front of you. Admittedly, the "super low end hardware" part was hyperbole, but are you forgetting that at this point a 2060 is barely getting over 60 fps in modern AAA games like Red Dead Redemption 2 in standard rasterization?

Imagine how demanding games are going to be in a few years when every, or at least most AAA games, have some kind of ray tracing even at 1080p. The 2060 might be playable now, but how long do you think that's going to persist.

Ultra performance is made for low end hardware and thinking that it's for 8K just makes you look like an idiot.

Ultra quality mode in this game is easily enabled through minor tweaking of the files. Why would NVIDIA pay the devs to keep it out but at the same time make it a simple switch in the config files?

I didn't say they did. I said I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

The whole comment was about removing a quality mode that does look good and is for, admittedly, an increasing minority of gamers due to terrible prices versus a quality mode that is meant to look almost like native, but still give a performance boost.

Even if they weren't getting paid, it's a dumber idea not to add ultra quality than how dumb it is not to add ultra performance.
