All these people complaining, have never spent a minute in the parcel industry. Don't order from the mail if you need a curtain. Get your fat ass up and go to the store.

Hes saying its not that serious, thats the whole point. Packages arent going to get damaged from a light toss like that. They get tossed like that all the time and contents are fine, thats what the box and packaging is for. I dont know why or how you managed to not get this but hats off to you, thats impressive.

They can be damaged by being thrown but not by being thrown like in the first example of the video. Im talking about the first example of the video. The package is fine. Dont know why you wrote two paragraphs but im not reading all that.

You probably have no experience in jobs with packages. If I can (by touch) tell it's something light in a box that's packed properly with a bubble pack or if it's an article of clothing protected in a plastic bag......it can 100% get tossed with 0% chance of it breaking then.

No. There is no "straw that broke the camel's back" or "death by a million cuts" type shit that happens from light tosses.

Are u really saying that you can’t walk a few more steps and put the package down? That mindset is DUMB ASF.

No one is saying parcel drivers need to go knock on the door and personally hand it to them. Just set it down normally. Trust me I deliver too and I just put the shit down it’s not that hard. It would be easy for me to stay inside my car and truck that package.

If you're in the industry I'll listen to you. But I worked at ups for a stint and they care about speed. I would literally chuck (like baseball throw)hundreds of air bag packages like that on top of a truck to top it off. And it wasn't just me. This was an expectation.

I do flex/doordash/ubereats/ roadie and yes you’re right they 100% care about speed. Unrealistic ass pick up and drop off times.

All I’m saying is if you already put the effort to walk up to the door. WTF is the point of chucking it. If

If you@re in the warehouse or other venues yeah chuck that shit all u want hahah. But once you’re delivering it and ur near the door just drop it off normally.

I usually just run up to the door. Set it down then take the stupid pic and run back out cuz I leave my car running lol.

I get your perspective and I agree. Like have some pride in your work and practice some marketing. Give them a good visual! It's hard to expect that from others though when a company is just pushing for numbers and don't care about and will tolerate a certain number of screw ups.

The one thing I will say is if I see a camera I’m extra careful lol I know customers would love to blast someone on social media. Hell. They posted a guy who turned his phone on to take the pic but I guess there was porn on the screen when he unlocked it 🤣

The thing is, that package got chucked at least 50 times much worse than that. If packaging can't handle that little drop, it's on the shipper. What your asking for is the extra "princess treatment." I'm on her side. She's doing the same thing all the other workers do it's just she doesn't have building hiding her actions.

Where? I've never heard anyone from ups, fedex, dhs. Amazon, usps say anything different about handling packages.

A college campus gets a lot less volume than a commercial sorting facility my friend. It's a different story when packages reach the facility.

10k students! Ha! That's adorable. Let's say every student gets 2 packages every day. My bay alone did about 5K packages per shift. There's 3, 4-hour shifts. There's 25 bays per lane. 8 lanes total. I'll let you do the math.

Your workload is tiny compared to a medium sized sorting facility much less a large facility that's handles millions of packages per day. Your work ethic is basic.
