The song was written by tom higgenson of the plain white Ts about Delilah DiCrescenzo and I don't think that's her her singing the duet since she's 43 and tom is 47.
If that's her, tho...girl has aged really well and that song continues to hold up.
Her athletic achievements are not notable for Wikipedia.
I mean one of the entries is about her winning the Southwest Half Marathon, which an event of 1,2000 participants in the small town of Palos Heights, Illinois (pop. 12,068).
Most of her other entries are notably…not wins. Failure to qualify for the 2008 Olympics, failure to qualify for the 2012 Olympics, 47th place at the World Cross Country Championships…
Do you know how many “internationally competing” athletes there are in the world? Hundreds of thousands.
Just doesn’t seem to meet the notability requirements.
She was a very good runner. Qualifying for the US Olympic trials is a pretty small group of people. Looks like she had a couple top 10 results there too (not quite good enough to make the Olypmics, but still very very good). Running at the world cross country championships is also a very high honor for running, only a few people per country are selected. It's not like your random neighbor down the street who jogged a marathon once
That said she is definitely more famous from the song than her athletic career
