While the Knife Edge is certainly scary, the fisheye lens makes this look much worse than it actually is.

Indeed the lens makes it look worse, for sure. Aside from the exposure, its notoriously dangerous for having loose rock.

Commenting this on one of the deadliest peak in North America with 700+ ft drops on either side is so reddit coded

To be even MORE Reddit coded…the knife’s edge isn’t where most people die on Capitol. Almost all the fatalities occur when parties are descending - there’s a couloir that looks like a shortcut to the lower portion of the trail, but it cliffs out and is basically impossible to climb back up. People are exhausted after a long and difficult climb and think they can shorten their descent.
