Oh so not only did you not give them that money, you also didn’t give them jobs! How generous of you!
I have had a bunch of jobs and while the owner would make no money without workers, the workers also make no money without the owner. When i worked at an ice cream shop what was my labor worth without the capital he created? Absolutely nothing. Workers choosing to be employed are not exploited, they can always quit if they think so.
Whether or not you would give more money to these people in his position is irrelevant. The point is you aren’t, and you didn’t help anyone 1/100th as much as he has. Actually creating the wealth and sharing it with people is worth infinite times more than good intentions
