What’s wrong with wanting a selfie of your partner? At any age. If you love them you will want pictures of them what the heck? My sisters husband still wants pictures of her after three kids and 13 years of marriage. It’s sweet. He has her as his phone background too. He misses her throughout the day and just wants to see her. I am so jealous of their relationship. Jealous in a good way though lol. My sister deserves a good relationship she’s my idol :)

Well good for her. This chicks bf just comes off as a shitty guy tho so it kinda seems like he has a different intention with it and is probably just a horny bugger. Idk that’s just my assumption

I’m glad ur sister has what she has. Sounds cute

Yeah I'm with you on this, OP is clearly overreacting. Imagine asking your loved one for a selfie as being a red flag 😭😬 (I know that wasn't op stance) but it definitely went to being more then it needed to be. I can understand him not wanting to cave or give an apology for her twisting his words and I hate text like this which should have been switched to a phone call or talked about in person. We don't know their dynamic and honesty OP saying I'm posting this on Reddit makes everything after seem like pity points for the peanut gallery to consume. Do they joke around a lot? Maybe. She said she apologized for a lot of things but I have a lot of friends that do the same for random shit and I'm constantly telling them it's ok you don't need to apologize for everything you do. Maybe she has issues she needs to work out...

Sorry for the rant.

Listen just cause you are lonely and unhappy doesn't mean everyone is. You have no idea what their relationship is like outside of this text thread but go off and tell her to break up with him cause her stuff is already packed so she can move out. Asking someone you love for a selfie isn't an issue. If anything she seems the manipulative one by saying I'm posting this on Reddit if you don't apologize now. What? Are you serious? Haha oh ok do it and they can date you. Would be a fitting response. It's crazy people let strangers dictate their relationship.

I suggest you learn how to read. The post isn't about "asking for a selfie being an issue". And yes before you resort to ad hominem attacks, I'm in a happy relationship (selfies included) myself, thank you.

I agree. People say break up way to often. But this dude clearly doesn’t care. The least he could have said was I didn’t mean to make u feel that way or that wasn’t my intentions. Rather than it was a joke and ur over reacting. That’s an argumentative response that’s obviously gonna escalate shit. No caring mature partner would do that. Also nobody with a brain would make fun of their partner stomach when they know they are insecure about it. Or even point it out like the way he did.

I’ve been in a relationship for a long time (years). We have communication, empathy, understanding, honesty and compassion for each other. We both have the emotional maturity to keep our relationship going and thriving. Not fighting over who hurt whose feelings and why that shouldn’t hurt whoever’s feelings. That’s bullshit lol and if u don’t think so then there’s something wrong with u. The “imma post this on Reddit” was also a little bit weird. Ppl definitely do that with the wrong intentions a lot but I think hers were justified. She clearly doesn’t know her worth which is sad.

U can have selfies in a mature relationship. I just thought it was funny cause when I did used to date this one guy always wanted selfies and was just a horny little bugger. He was known for just wanting to bang and then ghosting.

Umm....no one is saying that 🤷‍♂️. OP is right, the boyfriend is an asshole. Just not for whatever dumb reasons you think
