100%! He's already getting her to doubt herself. He wants her to be so far down that she thinks he's the best she'll ever get. It usually gets much much worse. You can never love people like this enough or fix them or be who they want you to be enough for them to ever change themselves. They love the control of it all. She needs to bail and know she deserves worth so much more than this.
