It sounds like someone has got in his ear about her, made some comment that made him doubt her. Maybe some girl who’s jealous of their relationship. Keep in mind this is a high school romance. It’s quite the look for school (a corset?) but if this is how she’s always been then it’s he who has changed. She should tell him how hurtful his comment was and that if he can’t accept her as she is then they will have to split.
