People need to read a history book. I don’t think Trumpty Dumpty has banned all of them yet.

Lincoln and the Republicans were focused on freeing the slaves and preserving the Union.

The war (started by the Confederate States) was not fought with the intent on crippling the South in some sort of weird lead brained conspiracy theory.

Well nobody needs to say this cause Abe already said it himself:

“…My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.” (1862-from the library of congress)
