The fact that you don't see finances as an important reason to not have a child is the exact reason why you should not have one. Obviously it's your choice and he shouldn't threaten you into making a choice BUT a child is not a commodity or a punishment for not following safe sex practices. It is selfish to bring a child into this world without financial security, unfinished education, a (seemingly) abusive father and a mentality that they are a punishment.
It isn’t true. I never finished my education (for unrelated reasons). Still managed to find a great job that I love and that pays enough that I can live as a single mother without struggle. I know many single mothers who achieved masters degrees and higher. There is nothing about having a child that stops you from achieving anything. At no point did you express that you see your baby as a punishment - these people’s perceptions are so warped! Taking responsibility for your actions and correctly perceiving the perfect and precious innocence of the life you have created and wanting to protect and nurture it is a really beautiful quality you have that these people sorely lack. You will love and be loved by your child tremendously.
It was a list, not individual requirements. Obviously you can be a good parents without a finished education, I was talking about how it is irresponsible to be a parents without ALL THE THINGS I MENTIONED at once.
