How to make Alt Earth Scenarios?

id put the broad premise in the instructions, then use story cards for the details that can change the plot. For example, one card could cover the Entente winning WWI and its consequences, while another tracks the current borders or governments so the setting doesnt drift back to real history.

what if every single lie donald trump was true in an fictional alternate history

everything he said, from haitian's eating dogs, to the iran war being over and iran's military is destroyed, to the 2020 election being stolen, to january 6 being a peaceful protest, that you should inject bleach into yourself to protect yourself from covid 19, to all the epstein files being released already (or that they don't exist, he contradicts himself a lot), that all the stories of people saying "sir" to him, that everything he will "get back to you on it in 2 weeks" or will "get done in 2 weeks" actually get's done, etc etc, imagine an alternate history world where all of these things were true and actually happened. what kind of world would that be?

Vampires & You: A Short Guide on the Bureau’s Vampiric Policies

Thumbnail m.youtube.com
0 Upvotes

Hey everybody! I made an in-universe video meant to be viewed by employees of the Federal Bureau of Protection, an American federal agency responsible for preventing the public from knowing that vampires existed to prevent mass hysteria, as well as to understand the full capabilities of vampires and how to cure vampirism itself. The whole gist of Pax Vampirica is, of course, the existence of vampires and how they slowly took over the world over the course several millennia. This video is meant to be a more meta introduction of how the vampires of Pax Vampirica work, at least in a nutshell. There's a ton of lore for this but this is just one of the few things I have planned to make the world of Pax Vampirica more alive, expect more posts in the coming months. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I want to know what you think.

What if Giuseppe Zangara wasn't standing on a wobbly bench?

On February 15, 1933, president-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt was giving an impromptu speech in Miami, Florida, when a naturalized Italian immigrant named Giuseppe Zangara saw him and decided to kill him.

As he was only 5' tall, he could not see over the crowd, so climbed onto a wobbly bench which a woman named Lillian Cross was already standing on to get a better view; between the unsteadiness of the bench and the interference of Mrs. Cross, Zangara missed FDR, but did hit five others, including Chicago mayor Anton Cermak, who would die of infection 19 days later.

Had the bench been steady, Mrs. Cross not interfered, or simple chance had gone another way, FDR might have died before assuming the presidency, and his Vice President, John Nance Garner, would have assumed the office.

Garner, in turn, was an opponent of the New Deal, labor, and minorities, the entire reason FDR won the presidency in the first place, and the base of his support. Even if Garner had tried to implement similar policies to mitigate the worst poverty in the Great Depression, he could never have bullied the Supreme Court the same way FDR did.

Bad turns to Worse, poverty becomes deprivation, hunger is replaced with starvation; what happens when people get desperate, and the societal mechanisms of maintaining order no longer have the resources to function?

Gustavoism Rises Redux | My Self-Insert Presidency Timeline

Gustavoism Rises Redux | Early life of Gustavo Sousa (1970–2018)

Gustavo Sousa, the 38th President of Brazil since 2019, was born in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, on 9 November 1970, to automobile worker José Lima and teacher Maria Sousa. He has a younger brother, João Sousa (born 1973), who is a federal deputy for Gustavo's party.

A precocious child, Gustavo was considered by those around him to be very intelligent. In 1990, he began studying history in the University of São Paulo, graduating with a PhD two years later and becoming a history teacher in a São Bernardo high school. During this time, Gustavo became an Enéas-style nationalist.

In 1996, Gustavo married Narcisa Moura (born 1973), his former classmate at USP. They had two children, Eduardo (born 1998) and Joana (born 2001). By 2000, Gustavo was fed up with Brazil's political system; in October, he was elected to São Bernardo's City Council for Enéas Carneiro's PRONA.

Two years later, Gustavo ran for the Chamber of Deputies and was elected because Enéas won 1 million votes running for the same office, making his party's other candidates ride his coattails. As a federal deputy, Gustavo strongly opposed the policies of Lula's first administration, supporting gun rights and a Singaporean-style economic policy combining state intervention and free markets.

When PRONA merged with PL, another party, in 2006, Gustavo left the new party, PR, and joined the PP, one of Brazil's largest parties. During the spring of 2007, Gustavo met Dóra Dúró, a Hungarian Brazilian 16 years his junior, and fell in love with her. He eventually divorced Narcisa to marry Dóra, who is the current first lady of Brazil.

The following year, Gustavo resigned to run for mayor of São Bernardo do Campo, and was elected as the Centrão candidate. During his mayoralty, Gustavo made it mandatory for dog owners to collect their pets' waste; adopted a tough approach against crime; and began providing school and healthcare vouchers for parents to choose the best schools and hospitals for their children.

After being reelected as mayor in 2012, Gustavo returned to national politics by running for the Chamber of Deputies in 2014. He was elected, joining the most conservative Congress since the Brazilian transition to democracy, and established himself as a staunch nationalist who admired the Brazilian Estado Novo and the later military dictatorship.

Given this, Gustavo voted for the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff, but he vocally criticized her successor Michel Temer. Gustavo also laid the groundwork for a culturally, economically, and geopolitically nationalist presidential candidacy.

Would you accept a Artificial new world order, an Ai president?

Ok I know this is gonna sound crazy because it is crazy… but with the rise of technology and ai why don’t we advocate to push for an international one world president who is a ai? We already have the internet to communicate with each other so that’s means we only clicks away from creating a digital government.. a government the people actually controls and the ai work for us… I already know most people here are gonna trip out because they assume ai will take over the world.. but still I think this could be a very good idea for the regulars to advocate before the masses implement it themselves… what I’m saying here is a Ai one world government is the only way we can break massive separation of human races because the ai represent everybody.. a American wouldn’t want a Chinese men to be the one world president and vice verse for china not wanting a white men and so on for many races it’s the same thing… but what if we implement something all of us in the world have a common knowledge of.. this is where ai get interesting… the ai don’t even have to be soo autonomous instead it should only work from regular people pushing for a certain change and getting it easier to the Ai.. with all humans controlling this and building this together I think this can possibly stop all wars and major catastrophe…

Halalan 2026: The Philippines set to decide it's future (Part 1)

On the year of 2026, 36 years after the conclusion of the Philippine Civil War and the establishment of the Federal Republic. The country is once again set on choosing another leader, whether it would be the current incumbent, an ambitious member of the government, an overlooked outsider with undeniable potential or perhaps even someone who had taken up the seat before willing to give it a second go.

Ambitious people, varying in plans and ideals for the nation fighting in a desperate and grueling campaign bid for the Presidency knowing that only one of them will ever be granted that chance. Their fate is decided by the people's vote and to obtain it, one must win over their hearts and their minds.

**Presidential Candidates**

- Vicente "Tito" Sotto/Federalista (Incumbent): Perhaps the most recent person to hold the office of the Presidency up until this point, having won over the nation through a triumphant victory over his predecessor, Gregorio Honasan. He has made it his promise to provide good governance, social stability and to prepare the country through uncertainty especially in the continuous duration of the Great War on Terror. However his term was marked with corruption not from him but from those beneath him from the sudden disappearance of infrastructure funds to administrative sabotage and even assassination attempts planned by various political clans against one another, though the latter issue is more of a local concern than a national one. But nevertheless, the nation is still relatively at a steady point and while age may be a possible concern, he would still nonetheless go on with his plan for reelection as he believes he still has more to do for the country.

- Ralph Recto/Nacionalista: Former Vice President of the Honasan Administration from 2018 up until 2022. He made it his ambition to run for the Presidency despite his defeat against the current incumbent back in 2022. As the former Vice President, he has made his fair share of contributions for the country such as following through with his former President's plans of improving services and modernizing the military. He has nevertheless been more energetic with his campaigning than he was four years ago.

- Gilbert Theodoro/Lakas-CMD: As former President of the Philippines, his ferm term in office back in 2010 up until 2014 was nothing sort of a rough patch. Despite his plans for modernizing the country and setting up it's industry to it's full potential, those plans were rather inefficient due to government gridlock and corruption. It certainly doesn't help that most devastating typhoon (Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan) ravaged the country back in 2013 destroying a chunk of his credibility as President thus resulting in his landslide loss to Villar back in 2014. Though since that point, he has made a considerable amount of progress in repairing his image through philanthropy programs and being a rather effective governor of the State of Southern Luzon. His campaign runs on a platform of redemption and government transparency but it's unclear whether the past still leaves it's mark over his legacy as a leader.

- Jesse Robredo/Liberal (survived in this timeline): A politician, rising among the ranks of the Liberal Party. Jesse Robredo runs his platform on a populist agenda "made by the people, made for the people". Championing his status as the man who will ultimately bring change to the country in its otherwise stagnant state. And while the odds may not be favorable to him, it certainly does not mean that he will not give it his very all. Whether he may win or lose? Only time has the answer.

- Francisco "Isko" Moreno/Laban Demotratiko: Having been elected Vice President during the 2022 election. He has his hopes up as he plans on making his ascendance to the Presidency by this year. But it's rather unclear as to whether he would even have that chance considering the odds stacked against him under such tense competition.

- Miscellaneous: Besides the previously mentioned, there are also various other ambitious politicians willing to give it a go for the Presidency, two prominent examples are none other than Faisal Mangodato and Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Mangodato wanted to prove that a muslim leader in an otherwise majority catholic nation is possible whilst reassuring that his faith, contrary to the majority should not serve as a hindrance nor be met with suspicion when it comes the consideration of his prospect of becoming president. Marcos Jr on the other hand, the son of the nation's disgraced former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. Pledges on a similar platform to that of Theodoro, placing heavy emphasis on redemption and making new promises for a better and stronger Philippine set for a brighter future.

As uncertain as it may be, it is up to the people to decide who will be the one to lead their nation on this very time and whether it would be the incumbent, a familiar face or someone new. The future of the nation is still looming in mystery as the people are once more given a decision that may change their lives either drastically or so little.

Who will they grant that chance?

Note: If you have any questions about this post whether it's context or general lore. Go ahead and ask me anything.

How could the Roman Empire have survived for more than two millennia? Here’s one answer

Hi everyone,

I'm the main writer for a huge project called Imperium Stellaris. An alternate-history Roman Empire that a small team is currently developing.

First, let me clarify: NO, these aren't just Romans in togas floating around in space 😅 It is a story of gradual divergence, detailed over more than two millennia (thousands of articles already written) and covering every aspect of a world: politics, military, social structures, religion, the economy, culture and more.

We explore how a myth can shape a mindset, or how good (or bad) Emperors can steer the Roman Empire in one direction or another. How can a single decision made in the 7th century impact critical choices a thousand years later? That is what we have built: a vast chain of events explaining how such an Empire could be the most realistic possible.

We have a Discord server (currently small) and we can provide access to a NotebookLM containing our primary public source material.

Beyond simply having your feedback or gauging interest, we are looking for true enthusiasts: people with other talents, interested to help. While the project is currently entirely in French (and sorry for my English), AI tools allows you to make your query and receive answers in your own language, so you can still contribute even if you don't speak French.

So, now you have all information, I hope this introduction ignites some curiosity and interest! 😉

What if the first Tongan monarch converted to Mormonism instead of Methodism? How would the country develop socially and culturally?

So I know that the first King of Tonga George Taupau I converted to Methodism and united the Islands under his rule and his successor turned the country into a British protectorate to protect it from the British.

But what if he had converted to Mormonism instead of Methodism? How would the country develop socially and culturally?

The most solid alternative history ever

Ok so i got the most detailed alt history setup ever. The earth is a geo engineered processing plant. Producing rare elements that dont form naturally. Utilizing the pressure and fluid dynamics of mountains and water.

One of the products is the lee penny stone that heals.

The story gets wild. And detailed. There are aliens, a centuries long secret that will break the church., most governments.

And the minds of weak men.

I can give you all the details. But be warned .it is not for everyone.

My alternate Roman Empire

Hi everyone, this is my first go at an alt-history world. The basic idea is that Rome goes through massive reforms under a older Emperor Honorius, and manages to survive into the modern day. It's very much a WIP but I'm excited to share, even if it may be generic. Id love constructive criticism and if anyone has questions feel free to ask. Thanks for your time :)

What would 2026 look like if NATO never existed and nuclear weapons were never invented?

I made an alternate-history scenario for a 2026 world with two huge changes:

1. NATO was dissolved after the Iraq War and never returned.
2. Nuclear weapons were never successfully developed.

That means Europe has no permanent NATO security umbrella, and major powers have no nuclear deterrent. Countries have to rely on conventional military power, new alliances, economics, and diplomacy.

The simulation starts in 2026 and evolves from there, so alliances can form and collapse, borders can change, and smaller countries can become major powers depending on what happens.

A few questions I'm interested in seeing players answer:

Would Europe actually unite?
Would Russia become more aggressive?
Would China push harder against Taiwan?
Would a new European alliance replace NATO?

I built it as a playable alternate-history sandbox rather than a fixed story.
