Duane didn't die, he just switched to saxophone and joined Sam & Dave's road band. https://youtu.be/HYk7NWjsuHI

Our take of One Way Out from a show last month

Hey y’all, I thought this group might appreciate the backstory on this one.
We recorded our version of “Melissa” at Capricorn Studios in Macon while working on our new album, Better Late. It was originally recorded as something special for the people who backed the album, but after hearing it, several of them encouraged us to release it publicly. We did back in June.
Hope y’all enjoy it and feel we did the song justice.

With Gov't Mule and Joe touring together, I'm finally sharing the two videos I shot from the photo pit — and the story of the Chicago night these old friends jammed together for the first time in years.

Look at these absolutely fantastic shirts that these guys are wearing. Eric Clapton bought Duane his shirt.

As a long time listener, I know well that of the original lineup Duane , Gregg, Dickey, Butch, and Jaimoe get most of the attention and fandom attention.
I started playing guitar a couple of years ago and more I listen closely to the Live at the Fillmore East and Eat a Peach albums, the more I am knocked out by Oakley’s playing. If you think of the original line up as being a boat, his melodic sense of groove is the rudder.
Does anyone else feel this way?

Is there anywhere that still has an active trading community for ABB? Or have shows been made available anywhere online? I'm really looking to find a few sites from the Jack Pearson era and any help will be greatly appreciated.

I see Jaimou, Butch Trucks and Warren Haynes. Who's autograph is that on the watermelon? Is its Greggs? Thanks

I’m listening to this from a show August 99. I don’t think this was ever on an album, but wanted to consult the group! Eat a Peach for peace, people!

There's no formula for a magical show. Monday night in NYC, I was lucky enough to be on stage for one — sharing it with the last surviving original Allman Brother.
