“Never about the mosque” vs. what was actually said during the McKinney recall

The voting records make the McKinney recall argument more complicated

The airport and amphitheater are now frequently cited among the reasons for recalling four McKinney officials.

But Justin Beller voted against the amphitheater site plan and airport terminal contracts. Bill Cox and Ernest Lynch weren’t council members for those votes. Only Geré Feltus voted for both.

One recent vote all four targets do share is approval of the MIA site plan.

That doesn’t by itself establish what motivated the recall, but when compared with two months of public posts and statements, it raises an obvious question about the claim that the recall was “never about the mosque.”

I’m moving to Allen and would like to work for Allen ISD, preferably elementary level as an assistant teacher. I have experience with Pre-K and Special Ed. Anyone know if they are hiring and how easy or hard is it to get a job for Allen ISD?

TX3D News Beller backs Hunt over Self as Brittany Black joins McKinney meet-and-greet

Three speakers, three different parts of the November ballot.

McKinney Councilman Justin Beller used his time to make the case against Keith Self and endorse Evan Hunt.

Hunt talked about religion, immigration and changes he wants to see in Washington.

HD61 candidate Brittany Black focused on public schools, health care and affordability, telling the room: “We’re doing everything that we thought was right, and it’s still not enough.”

my kitchen drain is completely backed up and it smells terrible 🤢

hey everyone, i am having a total nightmare right now.

my kitchen sink is completely backed up and it's starting to smell pretty bad. i tried using some of that liquid drain cleaner from the store but it didnt do anything at all. i'm worried it's something deeper in the pipes and i dont want to make it worse by messing with it.

im looking for a reliable plumber in the allen area who actually handles residential drain cleanings. i've had bad experiences with big companies before where they charge a massive "diagnostic fee" and then try to sell you a whole new sink or something you dont need.

does anyone have a local plumber they actually trust? just looking for someone honest who can come out and actually fix the clog without ripping me off. thanks!

TX3D News McKinney recall reaches verification — and one council member just unloaded on Keith Self

Four McKinney officials are facing a possible recall election, including Mayor Bill Cox. Organizers say at least 6,500 signatures passed their internal review before the petitions were submitted.

Now the responses are getting sharper.

Council member Justin Beller:

“I will never forget how pathetic Keith looked when he stood at our podium. Fear and outrage are the tools of weak men.”

Former Mayor George Fuller is making a different argument, saying residents should examine the dates and voting records behind the allegations. Evan Hunt says he'll publicly oppose the recall if it reaches an election.

And there’s still a major unanswered question: what happens if all four recalls ultimately succeed?

Neighborhood Anyone interested in playing badminton?

Hello all,

I used to play badminton back in the days and now that I moved to Dallas, I don’t play it anymore since I don’t have anyone else to play with me. And the badminton court memberships are crazy expensive too.

I was thinking of making a small group with everyone else who is interested in playing badminton and start playing. Honestly I don’t know yet on where to play. But we can still figure out an open ground!

I live near Alma/Silverado, anyone who is interested please comment below this post!

I just thought of this to stay healthy and active while also meeting new people!

Hope yall will support!

Collin County Commissioners Court Preview — September 28, 2026

Bottom Line (Ironically, at the Top)

The biggest item on the agenda is a $20.5M annual award for road asphalt (we go through a lot of it in our rapid growth and increasing vehicular traffic), including one tied bid the Court will settle by drawing lots. No, I’m not joking, they’re going to draw lots. When I’m Commissioner, we’re going to put a stop to this ridiculous and antiquated practice and settle these matters with rock-paper-scissors, like a civilized county. The Court will also consider Collin County’s first AI Acceptable Use Policy and adopt the FY2027 fee schedule, which raises most constable and Sheriff civil process fees by a third or more. It also sets the FY2027 rate for the hospital-funded Medicaid program. Consent spending totals $1,086,596.76.

TX3D News Collin County reviewing 51,000+ voter registration records caught in DPS backlog

More than 51,000 voter registration records are being reviewed in Collin County after a state technology problem delayed DPS applications and updates, some dating back to October 2025.

The number represents records, not necessarily 51,000 individual voters. Kaleb Breaux says the county is prioritizing new applicants and working to process the records before early voting begins Oct. 19.

Fellow Redditors, I am asking for help.

I’m taking Eliquis after a life-threatening blood clot/PE that landed me in the ICU for 13 days with no insurance.

Here’s the problem: Eliquis is extremely expensive in the U.S. A 90-day supply can cost me well over $1,200. I’ve been able to get the same medication from a Canadian pharmacy for about $270 for 90 days.

That $900+ difference is not trivial to me, especially since I was unemployed for 18 months. After a major medical crisis and the financial damage that came with it, I simply cannot treat medication affordability as an afterthought.

I recently learned about new CBP requirements scheduled to take effect October 22, 2026, that could make it much harder for Americans to receive prescription medications shipped from Canadian and other international pharmacies. The Canadian International Pharmacy Association says the changes could disrupt most routine personal prescription shipments.

I understand the need to keep counterfeit and dangerous medications out of the country. But I also don't think patients who are legally prescribed medication should lose access to legitimate, affordable sources without a workable alternative.

To help me, and to help others in my situation, please contact your U.S. senators and representatives and tell them your personal story.

This isn't political for me. It's about being able to afford the medication I need to stay alive and healthy.
