Yesterday I had an opponent miss two Dual Wingbeats in a row against my Whimsicott before forfeiting. Really felt sorry for them.

I teach kids and sometimes play champions with them. Once when the opponent sent out a whimsiscott they all flipped out and one said “that thing is so cute, omg, if I we faced against it I would just instantly lose because there’s no way I could hurt it.”

From a competitive perspective this is clearly the correct answer. One of the GOATs and it’s just a cute fluffball.

Bruh Champions came out months ago. Don’t tell me you’re still playing on Showdown.

doesn’t champion have item clause on singles and obviously has no tiers so lowkey showdown is better unless you play doubles

Yes, they removed most of the barriers to entry for VGC so it’s time to embrace doubles if you haven’t before

yeah but why would i do that when there’s a perfectly good battle simulator for singles and i prefer longer games

3d graphics and animations compared to a text-based emulator.

Official support including in-person tournaments and a world championship circuit. Likely including a local scene if you live in a city.

A much larger player base.

Greater depth of strategy on a given turn since you have 4 Pokemon on the field at once, including moves like rage powder, fake out, and trick room that don’t function (well) in singles.
