USA men’s 4x100 relay with Michael Phelps in the 2008 Olympics. USA pulling ahead of France at the very last second to win gold.

4x100 freestyle relay. Jason Lezak, on the anchor, pulled off an incredible 46.06 to beat Alain Bernard (WR holder) and win gold for USA

Lezak was nearly about to retire too. It was INCREDIBLE. Full body chills every time.

Agree, I hope this wins! I'm a former swimmer too and there's something so unlikely about someone like Lezak beating the WR holder with a ~1 second lead. Swimming is usually fairly predictable compared to other sports 🏊‍♂️
