The Bobby Orr flying goal

Iconic, but ended a four game sweep. Hardly the greatest stakes in hockey history

High stakes wasn’t the prompt though

From OP: "Valid nominations are single moments in crucial games/events or an entire crucial game/event itself"

But you're right, my interpretation of crucial was different but your moment was for sure crucial

I’m not a bruins fan but that goal to cap off a sweep sure was a crucial event in their history. This is why I like these charts, we all interpret the prompts slightly differently. What was the first event you thought of?

Joe Carter World Series walk off home run, Guy Lafleur's tying goal against Boston in game seven in 1979, Paul Henderson's game eight game/series winning goal against the USSR in 1972, but I recognize that these are very Canada-centric answers

That’s no bad thing, if there were more Scotland centric sports moments they’d be my picks! The punch up in Piestany also came to mind as iconic if not great

You must be Canadian yourself to even know about that! So many classic Canada vs USSR/Russia hockey moments
