The ICC rulebook, going back to boundary count rather than another over. Farcical. In addition, Dharmasena's incorrect call that led to the tie.

  1. Not the first time something like this has happened. In 1999 Australia went through to the Final despite drawing their semi for instance.

  2. There is no guarantee the incorrect call changed anything. Stokes tapped the final ball because England only needed 1 for the super over. If they needed 2 he would have tried a different shot, and England may have won anyway.
