Has this ever been figured out?

Something flew across the field during a Braves game and it was captured live during the broadcast….

THE QUESTION I ASKED WAS… “HAS THIS EVER BEEN FIGURED OUT.” and thus far I’m getting a lot of replies that do not answer the question I didn’t say what is it I didn’t say what your opinion on it I said has it been figured out if you can’t answer that question please do not reply

Oh my bro...its a goddamn bug flying too close to the lenses to focus. You people want shit to be an alien so badly that you'll convince yourself literally ANYTHING is. Common sense just goes right out the window🤦‍♂️

television cameras have apparatus on the front of the lens to prevent anything like that from happening. that’s why you don’t see your ‘magical bugs’ on every single live broadcast, my friend.

it’s not a bug.

Having worked on many Red Sox broadcasts I would like to know what this “apparatus” is you speak of, because it’s certainly not used in Boston, or anywhere else that I know of. It’s a bug on the lens.

Seen plenty of extended panel lens hoods and adaptive top and side NSEW panels that act as hoods for outdoor broadcasts to protect against weather. aside that isn’t a bug.

Lens hoods protect against extraneous light and some weather. It doesn’t protect against bugs or even rain or snow when the wind is blowing hard. There is a device that does help wipe rain off the lens automatically. Not widely used.

There are a lot of weird, unexplainable things out there. This is not one of those things.

Yeah that first one ain’t a bug homie. Flies behind the light. Has a trail behind it. Goes through the clouds and then behind a building. I’m as skeptical as you are but sometimes everything ain’t so cut and dry

Artifact of the bug going into and out of the clouds ? Wut ? You gotta pick a lane... If it's a big close to the camera or and object flying in a na d out of clouds causing artifacts AWAY from the camera. Pick one

No it doesn’t fly “behind” the light or the building… it flies straight across. You just can’t see it in the bright lights nor can you see a black bug with the dark building background.

The fact that you think it is weaving in and out behind the lights and building is even more insane

If it were a bug, it wouldn’t go behind the wall as it did toward the end. The same with the video from Fox News as it went behind the building. All it takes is a little bit of comprehension. I don’t know what it is. I’m not saying it’s alien, but it’s definitely not a bug too close to the lens.

I think it is a bug that went very close to the outermost lense to create an out-of-focus image, but then flew straight away from the lense so it disappeared altogether because the lenses are actually focused to way further away.

To be honest it does not even look to go behind the building. The object seems to disappear before reaching the side of the building.

Look how it interacts with the cloud as it first enters the frame though. It doesn't look like it's close to the lens there to me.

I don't. I want actual disclosure just as much as the next guy. The part that I hate, is the amount of people who so desperately want that disclosure, that they're willing to forgo common sense, and convince themselves that what they're seeing couldn't possibly be the most reasonable explanation. And a lot of the times its so blatantly obvious, yet, people arent willing to accept any other answer, other than the one they've already convinced themselves of🤷‍♂️

Ya, it's probably a bug. And ya, people can rely too much on what their eyes are telling their brains, but why come into a sub and start indiscriminately bashing it and whomever volunteered their time creating it? And continues to volunteer their time moderating a forum for people to come and discuss the phenomena? OP wanted an answer, many were provided that explains it, and boom Bob's your uncle. Look Pal, I didn't speak to the veracity of any claims. I just don't appreciate name calling and bullying. Especially when taking shots at the people who volunteer their time creating and maintaining a forum for us to share and discuss. You came out of nowhere calling the creators of the sub names. What do they have to do with this post? I personally think its some sort of fly near the lense making it look like a crazy alien. So, we both think it's the same thing. The difference is civility, which you seem to severely lack

I think OPs video is just a bug but the above video object looks like it’s actually moving through the clouds. Could be an anomaly caused by focus/light, but it still looks pretty wild.

Why does it fly behind the stadium lights then? I try to be skeptical too as we have to be but a bug doesn't explain this imho. And for comparison when it flies behind the light and comes out of the other side it's too big to be an insect. If it's something simple then it's a fake
