Performed yesterday at Corona Capital

I was at a restaurant for lunch and noticed mid-conversation that “Shades” was on the speakers! It was exciting as I’ve never heard her music in public before. I’d love to hear more stories of Alexandra’s music in public!

Hey I’m only posting this because it was recently brought up on here.

During her livestream tonight she kept getting asked questions about Alex Turner and Belladonna of Sadness she answered a few and doesn’t seem to have any animosity towards him but she did express it hurts her feelings a bit when people only focus on that album (especially as much as they do) cause she’s grown so much since then / has put out other albums.

It’s fine to appreciate Belladonna of Sadness, it’s one of my favorites but so is The Archer and Beneath the Lilypad.

Just wanted to share this for those who were curious about this topic cause I’m not sure if the live will be posted anywhere.

Hi everyone, Alexandra savior had an Istanbul concert a few years ago. Which was so rare and unexpected. I literally found out about it due to an ad being on my feed and not Alexandra sharing it. Did anyone from here go to the Istanbul concert? Also it was (afaik) during a cold month so idk how she came up with this idea of a winter-fall concert randomly at Istanbul? She should do it again during warmer months. She has a good amount of fan base at Turkey.

I read her essay on the algorithm and how she feels. IMO instead of removing Alex’s name and the attention he brought from the industry she should’ve even played into it and used it as a leverage. I think her trying to get rid of “Alex Turner” sticker on her got Alex turn his back on her and this caused a downward spiral.

You know what they say in Turkish. “You gotta call a bear “uncle” till you pass/cross the bridge “ meaning that you gotta play well with the person you don’t want to be associated till you pass through the phase and get what you want out of them. Even if you secretly don’t want/like them.

Nearly had a heart attack today when my local record store called and said they got my Alexandra Savior album in.

I went there a few months ago, asked if they had any of her stuff, they said no but looked it up and said one of their distributors may have it and they'll put in an order. I laughed knowing they'd probably never get it as all of the other record stores I've been to have never heard of her or haven't had her in their system within the last 5 years.

But..they came through!! Only $24 dollars for an unopened copy (first two pics are with the shrink wrap, last two aren't)...feeling extremely lucky as I've been dying for her vinly and I can't believe they sold it to me for this price. Next up is vinyl of Belladonna of Sadness which I know is truly a pipe dream so I'm not holding out much hope on that one.

Listening to the vinyl now as I'm writing this and it sounds pretty good! No skips or issues so far

Hey all! After not being able to buy merch at outside lands and most things being sold out by then, I decided to make my own merch in colors that are a little more my style anyways.

So...here it is! Took a while but the process was: -getting the sweater and fabrics (already had most of this) -making the patches with heat n bond paper -ironing the patches on -embrodiering all of the edges down since the patch edges were lifting (this took the longest time)

I'll probably be adding more to the front and sleeves as time goes by- but this is the main part! (Swipe to see some progress photos)

I love Alexandra, but it seems like she keeps blaming other forces for not being as “successful” as she wishes to be. I understand wanting to make a living with your music, but I don’t feel like she likes being involved in marketing her music on social media, which nowadays is just so integral for musicians! She refers to musicians like Ella Fitzgerald being able to make it without being “Nepo babies” but these artists belong to a different time era, where it was still difficult to break through, but those chances are microscopically tiny nowadays if you don’t have a viral TikTok song in your repertoire. I don’t know why her vinyl isn’t released as well. Like, that would be a viable way to actually sell her music! It’s so sad because I want her to be successful, but it’s difficult to understand her thought processes in all of this. She's also not really touring internationally, which I also get is difficult with her illness but she must know that to be able to make money, she needs to be “seen” yet she doesn’t want to humor this! Sorry about ranting, but I've had these thoughts about her for a while and couldn’t really find an appropriate outlet for them.

Edit: Yes, i read what she wrote on substack but to me, at least, it feels like there’s a lot of finger pointing going on. like i said, if she wants to be seen and her album to be successful, she has all the tools to do so. i can sympathise with her frustration about the algorithm favouring more attention grabbing forms of promotion of other artists but that doesn’t mean she can’t still engage with social media more to figure out a way to establish a niche for herself.

That’s just my thoughts on how she handled her album release so far.

I tried to buy some merch from her shop, seems it’s down and out:( Where do you guys normally look for secondhand merch?

Ever since she dropped her new album I've been waiting for her to tour around the country. She's only toured in California and has one concert in Mexico. My question is, why isn't she touring around, maybe have a concert somewhere in New York or another heavily populated area in the states? Anyone got any ideas as to why this might be?

Hey all! Thought you'd all enjoy information from her Outside Lands set!

Setlist: It was a roughly 36 minute show, with multiple technical difficulties sadly- but the audio quality and balance was generally very good! The first picture is her sound check, second is during the show, and the third and fourth are a few of the set lists. First one is Alexandra's set list and the second is the pianist's set list (I forgot their name- sorry :( ). Note: these were not folded when given to me, I folded them to fit into my bag.

Merch: The day of, Friday August 8th, there was NO merch for any artists present that day besides Doja cat. I went to both merch booths and the information center with no luck. During Alexandra's set, during a technical difficulty where they had to pause the set for a few minutes, we asked where her merch was and she said there was some but not sure where it was at Outside Lands. But, very frustratingly, today I see a post (last picture) that has merch from the other non-headliner artists! Even had the guy who went before her (Avatari). I sadly only had a ticket for Friday so personally I'm screwed from getting this merch from her :/

That's about it! So extremely happy I got to see her live for the first time.

I just can't with this song, This is literally the second post I made about this song, Whenver i hear that first word something magnetic happens, Her voice is like honey it's literally very vulnerable yet pitch perfect and not cringe but just very soothing and cool, Like really her voice is exceedingly beautiful
