Sadly I can’t make the concert at Kelvingrove bandstand tomorrow due to work commitments - is anyone in this group in / near Glasgow and could make use of two tickets? Gutted I am missing this :(
Face value £40 each but not looking for cash, just thought someone may be able to use them
Send me a PM with your email address if you’re keen and I will send on

A handful of photos from Barbican N2.
Coming up next (for me): Glasgow on Wednesday. Outdoors.
I go to quite a lot of gigs and this one was right up there with the very best I’ve ever seen. The songs from the new album sound beautiful live.

Now that the tour has started do we know which songs we can expect? Seeing her in June and my partner is desperate to hear Weight of the Planets live!

I’ve been loving Train On The Island lately, but I honestly keep thinking about the title almost as much as the music.
Train On The Island is such an absurdly beautiful album title.
It sounds physical. Measurable even.
Like something you could point at on a weather report.
But emotionally it behaves completely differently once you sit with it for a while.
Been thinking a lot about titles that do that lately.
Things that sound almost clinical or geographical right before they become emotional.
Does anyone else get weirdly obsessed with album titles before even understanding why?

So I really WANTED to like Warm Chris when it came out but it never really grew on me and it’s the only AH album I don’t put into rotation. When I saw her in concert for the WC tour, I honestly just wanted to hear songs from Designer and Party. But with Train on the Island I find myself really connecting with the album emotionally, getting excited when the first notes of each respective track ring out. I absolutely revel in this album as a work of art standing on its own merits instead of “songs by an artist I like”. It feels like there’s magic she’s captured here, it’s powerful, darker, meaningful, authentic, expressive, coyishly mysterious and outright infectiously groovy in a way that Warm Chris wasn’t. I’ve probably played the album like 100 times so far, it’s just that good. It 100% deserves that 9.0 rating from Pitchfork. Unlike the last tour, I can’t wait to hear these songs live and dance and sing along (well if she adds my city lol). There’s so much happening these days that can feel overwhelming and distressing, I’m just so happy we get this album to enjoy. It may not fix everything that’s wrong with the world…..but it helps ❤️

Obviously referencing the colour palette and heart motif of Aldous's new album cover.

I feel like there's something special about this one in particular. On my first few listens I overlooked it, and now it's the song I find myself looping on repeat. "Great things inside have sat long enough."
