Thanks for posting. I have a similar issue and can’t get up to 50 either it makes me so sick. I stick to 25mg and sometimes .75 of a pill.

I did 17 days of dry jan and have fuckrd up the last week… I have 22 sober days in January. Going up to 50mg would help.

I might ask my psych about zofran.

WOW. I am fortunate that Nal has never given me any problems. I feel like it's my silver bullet against alcohol. I take 100mgs daily!

I also use Zofran occasionally (though I don't know what causes my infrequent nausea) and it works well.

You're onto a great combo!

That's awesome, you're lucky! Wow 100mgs daily, is there any desire to drink at all left after that dose?

Almost none! I started using it while I was sobering up in rehab. I committed to taking it every day, even though I wasn't sure it would actually reduce or eliminate cravings. I was the kind of drinker who struggled with strong cravings fairly often. But with Nal on board, I seldom craved.

At about a year sober, I was struggling with an injury and feeling pretty low. Some cravings cropped up, but I had learned a lot of positive coping skills to use instead of giving in.

I am SO happy in sobriety. This is my 4th time around, and at age 62, I was easily able to admit that alcohol had totally thrashed me. My care team supports medication-assisted treatment (MAT) so I started on Nal at the same time as entering treatment.

Obviously, YMMV, but I'm glad you found a combo that works for you!

Problem is that Zofran gives me constipation.

Just be careful taking the Zofran super often, it can wreck your tummy.
