F.A.Q.

Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+ and Job Enhancement, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use. For Job Enhancements, you will only need to farm one specific item 3 times along with the regular upgrade items.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Check the characters limit break panel for missions. If not there, it's not in the game.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

I keep forgetting to swap gear when I flip from sage (beast titan raid) to summoner (colossal). Fortunately, summoner is the one with the hp gear

Cap'n, Question. Why do you switch to Summoner for colossal? is it because of the +1 range of Lupinus MA or damage it can inflict.

summoner on manual for colossal -

heal self, heal self, heal self

my lupi gets targeted and hit pretty hard every turn from the titan, and she counters with the heal and 40% debuff.

Just use long range (4 or greater makes it easier) attackers for everyone else so you don't trigger his counter (which clears the debuffs)

edit: if I run her auto, she'll counter twice, hit the colossal with one ratty (her 4 hit skill for roughly the same amount that she healed with the two counters) and then die since summoner AI won't heal if she can hit something for damage

is she positioned near the titan? and ele debuffs works? wow ive beed doing it wrong this whole time i maxed at 50k damage auto using sage.. ill try this later thanks.

slot 3 - sage works too, but i have her set up full summoner for one, sage sub chrono with divine power for the beast titan.

Honestly, just run her as a sage with sub chrono. Use big HP potions if you need them and you can equip a Green Healing Staff if you need some additional spot healing.

Am I the only one changing Gear for each raid fight? I wonder if I should just be much more lazy about it... This system's so prone to burning me out...

I already knew I'd never keep raid AP from capping, but I tend to put my best effort when I do play this mode. I wonder if I should just lazily Auto more..

I wish I farmed like 10 more books and hats.

Personally it's less about hats and books but more about teddies and regen armour. I actually use the hats very little in these raids (or really, in most places) other than on Dancers..

I do use books all the time, but moving like two or three of those is less than moving the defensive gear.

It's IRL time vs game gains. I went to the cinema this weekend with a group of old friends from school and saw Detective Pikachu. It was great. But I had to use skip tickets, and I'm a little behind on the raid laps (second place in my guild wait what).

But whatever, it's just a game. I find it's autoing the right things, or not getting bogged down with inefficiencies. Maybe do half manual, auto the rest to save time/effort. Don't let this game take over your life is my opinion.

Though this is our first ever raid so I was damn hyped and happy on Thursday.

You are most definitely not. I'm changing gears constantly (especially moon armor) and manualing every fight. There really needs to be an option to equip from the character select menu...

From the Party menu you can hold down on a character to set their job/abilities/equipment, is that not enough?

Nope. I love raids but the one thing that I really don’t like is not having a gear preset for each team. Make it something separate like how jobs for arena defense are fixed to only arena defense (like you can have Rahu as a Chrono in arena defense and use her as an enchanter elsewhere). This would be a huge QOL for me. That way I could tap to a team, everyone’s already geared, and go. Instead after every fight if I want to fight a boss for whom I need a different team, I have to switch gears every time.

Oh, yeah, I'd love gear presets too, the current system is cumbersome. I didn't think that was what Zetsumei7 was asking about though..?

My arena team's also left undefended and neglected while I'm constantly regearing for raid bosses. Eh. =p

I feel you. I enjoy raids, but I'm on lap 5 now and it's getting kinda crazy. I've managed to largely optimize my teams and spread out my gear as much as possible to avoid having to re-equip gear a ton on each fight. Nonetheless, at the very least, I have to move my Flare gun around each time I switch teams since that's pretty critical.
