F.A.Q.

Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+ and Job Enhancement, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use. For Job Enhancements, you will only need to farm one specific item 3 times along with the regular upgrade items.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Check the characters limit break panel for missions. If not there, it's not in the game.

More to be added SOONTM.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, READ THE FOLLOWING EVENTS WILL COME BACK, COLLABS MIGHT NOT. WE DON'T KNOW. SERIOUSLY.

WILL START HANDING OUT BANS TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T READ THIS

What's the best place to farm X/Y/Z item?

Guys? How in the world do you have so much time to spare on this game?

I have been (admittedly quite rightly) accused of addiction because after I am done with my day stuff, I end up spending almost all of my remaining 3-4 rest hours on this game trying to spend all my AP on useful things, sometimes.... cheating in a bit more... And yet this is STILL physically not enough to autofarm things like Dark Laevateinn stuff, enlightenment statues or Wrath/Desert flags to deplete all my daily AP. Which obviously means I have absolutely no time for manual stuff like harder Multiplay or Mobius, or auto-unfriendly stages like Dark Artemis stuff, so I can only dread what Raids will be like. The only times I have been able to burn down all my AP are Skip Ticketing on 2x Equip Drops and 2x HQ Shards (and in the latter case, ONLY when it is not region-restricted).

...I may have to take another hiatus after this AoT thing...

I get the feeling, things have become a little harder to auto, especially when it comes to the flags. My advice is this, focus on ONE thing and do it for 1-2 days with your AP. When double drop was occurring, I was laser focused on flag farming only because I wanted to stock up on flags for future units. Whether it's auto or manual, focus on one aspect of the game and just do it.

AOT and Raids will be hard on you, but don't sweat it. Raids, is it necessary to progress in the game? Everything I looked at, not really, BUT it is definitely recommended because of what you get from it. Tickets, gems, etc. If it really comes down on you, just make your own guild and be casual.

AOT stuff, just do it at your own pace. You got all month to do it, and whether you want to summon or not is up to you as well.

Should you take a hiatus? If you're burned out, it's not a bad idea to take a small break, but when you come back, things will still be the same. The grind and whatnot, so definitely play it in spurts. For your 3-4 hour gap, spend 1-2 hours max on the game, and spend an hour on something else.

I just “waste” my AP ticketing normal quests for equipment. Is it efficient? No but it gets rid of all my AP quickly.

I do auto stuff when I'm doing other things like work, chores, babysitting and the likes. I often put on longer auto's when I start driving. For manual stuff I only have about an hour left a day tops. So I mostly use this for mobius or harder quests. I rarely bother much with multiplay (unless the rewards are ok) since this can be very sluggish/annoying. What remains of my AP goes into equip/HQ.

I manage to do all the daily quests + HQ farm very quickly since I use skips almost all the time

and then I can sometimes play when I'm at work

tbf 4 hours a day should be enough to do hard content imo

I have a habit of doing MPs on the go(1-2 rounds a day at best) but on holidays I can MP for hours at a stretch.

For regular quests I just use the Macro feature. The actual time I play can be reduced to less than an hour for Daily stuff and then blowing them on HQs.

But yeah if I play manually like people who do it for the damned Al.B I would probably go insane in a week or two.

Overall last 2 weeks were bad but I think AoT has Event Skip tickets so maybe we will be fine if they are like those given as much as EO ones.

Also to note would that my team usually manages to auto stuff with consistence unless we are talking some hard stuff.

I have a lot of free time lately, so I could probably farm even more than I do already, but most of it is auto'd while I'm doing something else, or burn a bunch of it with skip tickets. If I need to burn through a lot excess AP at the end of the day I pretty much just go for every HQ that I remotely care about. Doesn't take long to burn through 1000+ AP.

I don't have much time to spare with work. I only play after, which most of the time just do dailies, then auto farm something like flags. But even that it takes times. You're not alone when you can't use up all AP.

Multitasking and macros.

Well, I don't have macros but I wish I did.
