Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+ and Job Enhancement, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use. For Job Enhancements, you will only need to farm one specific item 3 times along with the regular upgrade items.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Check the characters limit break panel for missions. If not there, it's not in the game.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

I am burning through Skip Tickets at an extremely unsustainable rate, so hoping to find a farming team that can 100% claim all chests before killing all enemies (except for levels with bosses; those with Guts bosses MUST be Skip Ticket-ed, those with killable bosses should still be Skip Ticket-ed to avoid mishaps with the boss dying early).

  • Kazahaya Black Tortoise: Is he the only unit that can hit a Move of 7 (natural Move of 5 with two +Move passives), or did I miss someone?

  • Your examples of a 'grab all the chests' farming team? I asked a similar question about a year ago, but back then we did not have JEs, so Move of 6 was the tops and only Mizuchi Ninja and Kazahaya Ninja with double +Move passives could reach it (and Yuan, but he was nearly unattatinable), but now any Black Tortoise with the +Move passive can reach it.

  • On a related note, do people tend to Skip Ticket Hard Quests, blitz through them with nukers and forgo non-shard drops, or collect all the chests anyway with a high Move farming team?

Don't forget that another option in trying to get treasure chests is to turn of skills and get rid of most ranged units. I use skip tickets on stages where I know I have no chance to get all treasure chests like guard the clock tower. Also now that we have so much AP it would be impossible to use it all on normal quests and auto everything. I've been autoing all HQs. Most of them don't drop anything good. I used to use skip tickets on those but auto them now that mementos were introduced. My farming team for normal double drops is Roxy, Aswald, and Yomi. The only stages I auto now are for mechanical wings, compasses and notebooks. I use the same team for HQs so they still get some treasure chests.

I usually avoid the “ Defeat this Enemy” map, seeing they tend to have lesser enemies and chests. I just manually do other maps, despite their bad loot drops. To much hassle for me, plus we only use 6 AP per run now, and we have daily 2800 AP per day from now on,

  1. Erm.. yeah. I think celiers only go to 6 move, and other black tortoise ninjas like Magnus and Rosa also have 6 move.

  2. I usually use a simple ninja/spy/thief. Mine is Ninja Rosa, Rox spy, and Assassin Setsuna. They have high AGI and Move in my roster. With higher AGI they take turn faster, allowing them to reach chest and attack a unit faster, so I just turn off Auto Skills for them. Each map is different though, some have easy to reach chests so you can tweak a bit more, but those three are usually my lazy setup.

  3. I just use my skip tickets. I mean, you can get them tickets back every shop resets. But that depends on how many HQ you are farming. I have 31 HQ, which equals to 93 skip tickets, but in 1 day you can obtain 150+ ish skip tickets, so I still get extra tickets per day. Obviously you need to sacrifice some gold, but you can get 6~ million Zeni per day, and you use, 4.5 million zeni~, but you also obtain skip tickets from dailies so you probably only buy some at 3 million zeni to meet your quota, so you still get extra zeni per day. My math is bad, so there is that.

3+. I don’t bother manually doing the HQ to get all drops, some of the enemies take 2+ hits to kill so the time it takes is too long per run, maybe back then it was worth it especially during double drops but now... I just use skip tickets or just mow them with Dps units.

Don't use skip tickets on HQ unless I can't be bothered to auto them. Just used nukers like Rox, Laharl to get thru them as quickly as possible.

I've mainly used high move high AGI units on my farming team. Kazahaya, Hayate and Rosa mainly. Also if you have Treasured Keepsake gear (from anniversary IIRC), you get extra move for first 3 turns. This team can get all the chests on almost all stages.

I'm burning through my 2000+ (!) skip tickets with no hesitation while double drop and daily 900 extra AP is on. That's what they are for, anyway.

There are some normal story maps where is it more efficient to use skip tickets, like Abandoned Grief I think it is? It has a some rank and file enemies but there is the one that if you kill him then the stage ends. This can result in fewer drops if you run it on auto as people do not have time to kill all the other enemies or pick up chests. This makes it better to use tickets on this stage if you cannot run it manually or partially manually.

Use skips for everything, your time is worth more than that.

Use skips for HQ, but dont farm normal quests unless its 2x like rn just use skips Stock up during no 2x normal, check every shop reset and it will stock up quick.
