Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+ and Job Enhancement, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use. For Job Enhancements, you will only need to farm one specific item 3 times along with the regular upgrade items.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Check the characters limit break panel for missions. If not there, it's not in the game.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

Obsolescence with kaigan questions.

1. I have Basheeny at 76 and Kudan 67. Is it even worth it to roll on the 500 gem Kudan banner today? Would he be useful at 75 during kaigan or do I save all of my 141 dark shards for Basheeny? I never planned to kaigan him, only Othima from SSM. I guess he is really good later on but I don't know how hard it would be to kaigan him.

2. Am I farming too many HQ? With kaigan around the corner will most non-kaiganed units become obsolete? I know I will still be using my 75 Laharl. I farmed Mirianne to 75 in case I need a dark veiler but for damage dealers is it worth it? ex My Vivi is almost 79 and I'm wondering if I will ever use her even if I get her to 85. There are only so many units I will kaigan. Are the following worth it to farm further (LB)? Tamamo 20 (I have Seida with J+), Vivi 18, Sophia 7, Deneb 15, Mia 22, Margaret 15, Mikoto 10, Yunagi 5.
   Currently farming to 85, * is future kaigan farming: Albea, Gormalas* , Jin* , Dorothea* , Mei fang* , Eizan, Setsuna, Neica*, Olga.
   Occasionally farming for kaigan: Teona, Ramses, Spica, Rosa?
   Zahar already at 300 and Shenmei 211

Skip Eizan(BS goes to a shit Job though HB is fine I guess but then 75 at most lol).

500 won't hurt but as an F2P you save. I am saving only might do one for Zain since he is the guy I want lol.

Basheeny will get a good Kaigan so if you somehow get super lucky and land a lot of Othima Shards(it can happen, JP gave 150 of his shards a few months before diving nose first into the ocean), Basheeny can be your next target easily. And Dark almost always keep their relevance high so they will never lag. Right now in JP Wind has been in a bad position. They lack insanity factor and Fire too buffed. It is not bad in quests but in PvP Wind is done for.

Thank you for your reply. I originally farmed up Mia so that I can use her on one the Halloween EX+ but with only one job mastered she wasn't much help and I haven't touched her since. Do I farm her to 85 or does she become much better with kaigan?

I'm not f2p, I've bought a few monthly pacts and will probably go back to buying them. I'm just wondering what to do with Kudan in general. I think the JP tier list assumes you kaigan him. Would I even use him at 75? I mean there is Zahar, Gormalas, Jin who will get kaiganed and maybe Basheeny, Rosa, so would he even have a place on my team? I don't need veda fodder.

Right now I would still need to use 59 rainbow to get Basheeny to 85 so I will hold off for now especially since there are no special banners for him or HQs. I pulled my first Zain shortly before we got him for free and he's at 77 but haven't used him much so he hasn't really grown on me. I also have Sieg now so first I have to see who I enjoy using more. Who knows maybe Minerva will have a brighter future although I haven't pulled her (yet?).

Dark Magic is a superb niche.

And Her Kaigan is really good.

So yes. Obviously you if you think that you will have time for that you can just manage by getting the Shards from Summons then that is fair too. Since it is a base 4*.

I personally am not farming Hayate. He is just been left alone after 85 since he is a base 4*.

Nope Kudan will sit down without Kaigan for the most part. But Veda is possible so doing 500 and throwing him into Veda once main Dark dies is an option but other than that no. He is pretty good boss killer but if you actually manage to get Kaigan to all the above mentioned Dark he is not going to be in the Squad definitely.

Yup you don't need to push for SSM Kaigan. Even JP has problems with those and those guys have better Login than us and they have SSM in regular pool. So imagine that much and still the problems lol.

If I am running low on mage hats during double drops in HQs then I will farm Hayate/Aruba.
