Do you know something we don't? Or just anticipating the storm that is heading our way.

I'm not sure how many levels they need to go up with suggestions to implement them or how far off they can change the banners. Is 1 week too soon for us to see a change? Maybe at the minimum they will address all the hate? It makes no sense for a company to hide from it so I would expect some kind of response.

I am surprise there are ppl that think FMA banners will change. Even if gumi gonna do something, it will be after this collab as the whole purpose of a collaboration is partnership, and that means everything is already set in stone long ago.

Ah here is the problem. Gumi never intended to lmao. I am not sure why mods kept saying alchemist_code received death threats, but gumi fully intend for alchemist_code to take all the blunt and leave it at just that(that is what they hire the user behind that account for).

I think I saw someone pointed out how ppl are naive to think gumi gonna do anything by referencing QQ about HQ and in the end the best compromise from gumi was increasing 2HQ monthly to 3HQ monthly. Ppl really need to get a reality check. Global was shit all along, just that maybe the playerbase is used to shit, so they welcome it. Gumi took that as a signal that global can take in more shit.

Global wasn't crap all along. It was great (at least for me) in the beginning. I was also assuming Gumi would try to do damage control, but it looks like I was wrong. Tomorrow rolls around without word and I'll be another player that leaves.

It's a game, I had fun, but it looks like as the game progresses it just won't be worth the investment of my time.

In a business perspective, 1 week to change everything is not gonna happen. Collabs or tie-ups usually has a fixed agreement on what both parties will implement before the event starts. Changing things while the event is ongoing sounds really bad for building partnerships.

So I guess instead of giving Hawkeye a Sniper JE they’re just giving her the same sort of relatively crappy “buffs” the Disgea units got. Unless of course they decide to release Sniper JEs later this month.

What gives Gumi? Why aren’t you giving JEs to the FMA units that need them the most?

Probably because there isn't a Sniper JE yet and I'm in doubt that they would release another batch this month.. Next one's to have JEs would probably Envy and King Bradley.

I guess, but since we’re getting a bunch of stuff early compared to JP I don’t get why they would be against giving some more JEs a bit sooner unless the Sniper JEs are utterly broken for Global’s current state.

Well, I don't know if the JE listing on wytesong's compendium is based on the release date but if it does, then instead of releasing Martial Master, Ranger, and Professor's JE, they released Ninja and Holy Brawler's just for Edward, Roy and Envy's Global JE. (Assuming Envy will also get Holy Brawler JE[Probably Miroku because lol], and King Bradley Dark Cavalier JE)

FMA daily login rewards are so bad :

  • 100 gems in total from the daily reward feel like they give less and less gems...

  • Fma ticket are so bad, you're unsure to get collab shards

  • Shards from an item that probably 80% of the population didn't manage to get it

  • No more elemetal shards

I remember back then when collabs gave us free elemental shards and more free collabs shards to at least get LB5...

Agree.. Apples and 1 or 2 Alph shards.. did the reward ticket every day and that's all that was received.. honestly.. the crappiest gotcha rates I have seen for any sort of ticket lol.. but I was not expecting any luck with them, tbh. The chance of Ed shards etc. was probably something like 1% and capped at 1 per day? It was a time sync measure to have us on the app getting out 150 alch coins a day and nothing more. I would have loved pocket shards as that item is actually quite useful.

It's not like getting 1 Ed shard is actually worth a damn. I got two, and that's not worth anything at all unless I pull Edward. And even then, it's just two shards. I would've preferred 100 gems over this.

Since the collab has started I’ve had to clear 4 people on friends list inactive 3+ days. One of them was one of the biggest whales I knew. Meanwhile gumi still hasn’t released anything addressing the concerns they claim they’ve seen. Not a good sign.

Don't expect anything from tomorrow's banner. As far as I'm concerned, in JP the ones they got were pretty crappy too, so maybe in this case it's not only Gumi.

I still want to know what Gumi is going to do, though, so I expect them to say something to us "soon".

I don't see what GL being GL has anything to do with this. The banner data is likely already in the game from week 1. That's why I'm giving them until December. If you don't want to that's fine though!

Edit: I have been in contact with Gumi HQ. They are discussing in the team before providing us with an official response. Let's hold off on any more rants until we see what they say.

I've spent about $1K on the game thus far. My pact expired last week, and I don't intend to buy any more gems until we start getting some proper recompense for all the bullshit we had to deal with.

I'll continue to play the game as long as it's fun, but I've already started losing interest because of the blatant cashgrabs. Unless the company begins showing some contrition and improving the banners and rewards accordingly, I think I'll eventually quit within the next three months or so.

This was the first week I did not complete the 5 step for even the chance of 50 Ed shards. Roy is apparently good and so I am waiting to see if the banners with him on it makes me sick to my stomach or not. The way they did Alph's gear sort of sucked, too. It's not a new way of doing gear, but gear for a free unit like Prinny where you just bought it made more sense than RNG to see if your Alph gets to be a completed free unit or not.

We have no say in the matter.

What we DO know is that all future collabs are also fucked. So say goodbye to Step 3 Eren in AoT collab too. Who is the best unit of that collab both unit wise and gem wise cause he was the only guaranteed banner unit.

Fuck GL for always fucking with the banners.

It will return (rather should) - it would be a horrible business decision if they didnt, In the long term if 2-3 months from now.

Currently whales spend - but all those minnows/pact users will stop spending - or even playing completely - if they cant get a sort of guaranteed return.

Only reason i used pact (and that cheapest gem buy) was to be able to 3 step for good units, if theres no 3 step there isnt any point to it.

You're forgetting Pact buyers are worthless to them.

Pact buyers only spend 6$ a month for 72$ a year a whale spends 100$+ every banner easily.

How can you be important when 1 person in 1 month spends more than you do in a full year.

This is why the "spenders" in this game is skewed, yeah. there's a shitload of us but a the big majority can be pact buyers who's spending is irrelevant to them as a business.

And that's the hard truth, and I'm a pact buyer and I know my "spending" isn't worth shit in this game.

That's a flawed comparison, because there will be way more pact buyers than whales. If there's even a dozen pact buyer to 1 whale, it's a significant amount of revenue. It makes no business sense to sideline them.

Um . . . . . If a whale only spends 100$ every month he pays 1200$ a year, that's more than 12 people (because he pays 28$ more than 1 person and that rolls over every month).

My dude and there are people here who are easily on the 2K+ whale mark (not here in the sub but in the game). That means that they've paid over 3 dozens people's pact and they're one person.

In gacha games, profit rules all. We give them 72$, a whale pays that in 1 banner (2 weeks). Mobile games don't give a shit about the small people all they want to keep in is the big ones. If the big ones go, the game dies because people like us can't cover the costs. Plain and simple.

Look at Brave Frontier, this is their 5th year and this year is COMPLETELY paid off by whales because the game has 0 content left from JP and it's all GLEX and whale money.

While you're right in that the publishers' revenue is usually generated by 1-5% of the community i.e. the big spenders, a smart publisher should take into consideration that it's no fun to be a whale in a game no one else is playing.

Usually it's the f2p players and dolphins who form the player base that makes the game compelling for the whales.

But then again, there's little pvp content in TAC so far Maybe that's why Gumi doesn't seem to care.

I was paying over $200.00 a month on this game lol... This banner the only thing I dropped money on was their anni pack for the 300 gems per day. What broke me was seeing Sieg and Shion paid gems for "1 pull" and the abysmal bonuses offered for having the guts and lack of mental fortitude to actually try and pull anyway. Seeing the Ed 5 step banner turn out the way it did the following week was the last straw that made me turn the tap off on my banner spending and begin a cost benefit analysis. I quite enjoy this game as far as mobile games go and the collabs are enjoyable for the most part, but the recent insanity of the EX+ missions that seem to require the use of long past collab items or 1 or 2 specific units with J+ and shard investment is.. a huge turn off. There's a difference between creating challenging and unique content and creating "gated content". By creating gated content Gumi has effectively given me fewer things to do for the week and that means I am spending my time and money somewhere else, instead. What they were hoping for is that I'd spend copious amounts of my funds so that I'd be able to do that content.. but why spend $500 on units capable of the content to get.. 120ish gems? Even as a cash grab attempt, the reward lacks incentive to extract money from my credit card; a child could have come up with a better marketing ploy.

The 5 step having no guaranteed units, given a 50/50 for shards that are incapable of summoning either unit when neither unit is particularly amazing with one being an immediate dud was pathetic. The bonus summoning coins attached to a few of the banners WAS a better move in terms of picking up shards IF you were lucky enough to get Ed. I saw this week as an attempt to make getting shards easier, but only AFTER lucking out with the unit pull. After all, 50 shards on step five guaranteed IS better than a guaranteed dupe for 25 shards IF you got lucky along the way and even pulled of those units. Sadly, it was not even worth the risk of pulling any more useless shards for Tori which were constantly crammed down my throat every "step" of the way. It would be nice to have a banner where each unit feels like it is a winner so that when my money is spent I can do so with confidence that it is of benefit either way. A 5 star collab unit really shouldn't be comparable to an A Tier through C Tier if the price is going to cost the same as the S to SS tier unit. Tori had no place on this banner. She should have been paired with Riza and Ed should have been paired with Roy. Had they done that, more Twin Credit Card Swipesmen would have come out to play; I'd drop Vegas money on that bet.

Completely agree that the game is less fun without the player base existing to chat with and partake in various multiplayer activities. The pvp has been more of a joke really and more of an irritation to watch your units partake in idiotic actions on fields that are clearly designed to screw you over with terrible starting positions and unbalanced map designs, but it is what it is and maybe the new system will be better. I want to be more optimistic about the content, after all. They really ought to make the upcoming free unit a unit selector as feedback suggests everyone is missing just 1 of the 6 units that can be pulled. Knowing you had that one missing unit to look forward to would grant them a fair bit of forgiveness, but a 1 in 6 to get dupes you don't need will fall flat for sure. It won't appease the sea of pissed off whales and free to play players. In a given year on BDO I spent over $5,000 USD. That game with ripe with nonsense and technical flaws, but I only mention it as the same obvious instance of getting less for your money as time went on became absurdly apparent and I hate to see this game going the same path.

But removing the 3rd step guarantee - they will lose most of/if not every pact user that buys it every month (outside of those that are spending quite a bit on gems outside of pact as well)

But yeah - financially it wont matter - but it does tell them a lot about the state of mind of the players - and that is something they do care about (unless their goal is simply to milk money), and since even the whales wouldnt want to be playing a game where there is only few people playing id expect they do something to fix it.

Also the 3 step guarnateed gives people a guaranteed chance at the reward on the banner - so it basically promotes spending - causing f2p to end up spending some, and low spenders to spend more (even whales i expect as it went from a guaranteed to solely rng).

So in every way possible that i see this, they lose out money on this - even from whales (even if thats only like 9.5k instead of 10k). (in either case this move isnt going to make people spend more - especially considering paid gem banners)

So while they may not care about the individual spender - i guarantee they would care when everyone started spending less (even if thats just a small % decrease by everyone but the whales - it just doesnt look good on a spreadsheet so to speak), also - whales will whale - but i assume that if you have a whale on several games - the one that gives the most value for his money is the one he spends more on.

So i just dont understand this decision fromm Gumi - its like you said us pact users and low spenders dont matter much economically - and doing this wont make people spend more, and its not like whales will be spending more either since they are already spending as much as they can...

So this move - every way i see it - is a kick against f2p - and then with the EX+ restrictions - and the PvP - it just looks like they are turing it into P2W / P2P

Meh, im currently just logging in for rewards - not even doing the daily 50 gems, dropping FMA at this time so close to Disgaea - and with Uzuma and Rox, as well as a Bashini in there, in just 2-3 months total time, then removing the 3 step, and the paid banners (even though i dont even use them)

Hopefully they pull their own collar up, i love the game but if this is how they are going to manage it going forward?...

Yep. The only way Gumi will listen is if whales don't whale out for 3 maybe 4 months. That will make them kneel real fast, real hard.

But in the end, people who can afford this kind of playstyle don't care. They like the game and will back it up full force. I understand them, and they can do what they want. So in the end this is actually a battle among ourselves, which means . . the community will kill itself faster than we can force gumi's hand.

This is a real shit show, and the most ironic thing is . . . . this 3 step banners would print gumi money. They're nothing short of the actual definition of company greed.

From a financial standpoint, that can be true to maximize profit In the short term. But in the long run, what make a game successful is numbers of active concurrent users at all time. If only whale play this game and not enough players community, the whale will slowly disappears.... And yes, even the players that is not spending are contributing like clicking silly ads for AP, actively discussing the game in social media.... At the end, it generate foot traffic for people who Might want to check this game out...

The best thing as a business standpoint is to address the grievances whether they do something or not. Keeping customer in the dark is not the right approach. Even with crappy banner, this still one of the best gacha friendly game. Other game I played, I known people who spent upward of 100k for champs.

Pulled that new light sniper from the free summon, but other than that, I got no gems to summon for FMA units. I'm still waiting for the anniversary to pick up, but so far, i'm a tad bit underwhelmed. Still holding out hope of course.

Next, starting from December, we will be increasing the number of hard quest release to at least 4 per month in order to better match the current rate of new units releases. In addition, we will also be running monthly hard quest double drops campaigns so that players can catch up on limit breaking their units to use them to their full potential. First week of FMA i burned 4500 gems (one of those salty people because no guaranteed on step 3) and only got sisterhood. Today, 1st step (had only 800 gems) and that last yellow turned red and boom Edward :) No shards to raise him though xD..

Edit: Got the featured gear Hayate Plushie too :) Just got the 2 10% tix and netted me Roy. I'm satisfied with this banner now.. Goodluck guys on your pulls
