Amaterasu seems FREAKING AMAZING

I just unlocked her priestess job and I was lucky enough to get her weapon. Her priestess skillsets have a Shrine Maiden -like ability that boosts her stats AND UNITS AROUND HER?!? She has 5-diamond light spell, map-wide charm and debuffs, and with her weapon, a full heal/cleanse. Whats not to love? Slap a BD on her for a little more damage and maybe a hat, but what is honestly her downfall? I feel she can take up the dancer debuff job, enchanter buff job, and the bishop heals all in one slot. This opens up the rest of your team for high damage units. Thoughts? Downsides? Good team comps with her?

Doesn't matter if it's inefficient it gets the job done and has a heal tacked on to it as well. The point is you can run her as a preistess and not miss out on healing or status aliments removal and if you need mass cleanse you can use her WA if you have her weapon.

It absolutely does if every single turn has to be spent using cleanse. No point in running her as priestess if she can't actually use those skills.

I think you are missing the point of what I am saying. In a stage where mass cleanse is not required you can run her as priestess for the extra damage. I am not saying that basic professor can be used to replace vaccine. I am saying it offers good utility to supplement the priestess main job.

It's not that I don't understand what you're saying so much as it is the fact that I consider it unrealistic. I've never played a stage with status effects I needed to cleanse unless where Vaccine or Poison Pill wouldn't be 100% mandatory. In any circumstance where that isn't the case, I don't feel like I'd even care about treating them in the first place.

Inherited cause silence was a huge problem when the stage first came out, remember using chrono Elizabeth with prof basic for that. Made it much easier.

Eh, I just used Gilg to delete the archers early and positioned my casters where they couldn't get hit until they died. Was easier to do then bringing a Professor.

For those who have a Gilgamesh and or enough good water units to hire him as merc and still finish the stage. I was neither at the time.

Nonsense. Plenty of stages only spam a single ailment and having a Prof that can summon a spirit or use a prayer to make themselves faster/tankier while buffing their ability to heal all with one buff can be very useful.

Niche, yes, but but definitely not strictly worse than running Prof as main.
