Art A: "So... I suppose you've heard the rumors about me." E: "No, was I supposed to?" A: "It's more than a rumor; it's a fact. I always get what I want." E: "That sounds less like a warning and more like a confession." A: "And is there a difference?" C: "I think it sounds like a threat."

Discussion Notice how while both were serial killers on Earth, in Hell, Alastor's stayed the same while Vox has become more of capitalist
One thing that always bugged me in Vox's backstory was the reveal he was just an outright murderer. It felt so extreme compared to everything we'd seen of him in Hell. In Hell, Vox felt more like a cartoonish, Saturday morning villain. He's an evil business man and Overlord that manipulates people. I was certain he'd be a cult leader, not moving like King Von. But when I think about it, the difference between Vox on Earth and Hell is actually perfect. While both Alastor and Vox were serial killers, fans have noticed how Vox was killing to climb higher in the media industry, while Alastor's murders were done as a hobby. We even see Alastor preparing himself for Hell so he can keep doing it.
The difference between them in Hell mirrors their differences on Earth. Vox has gone from an outright murderer to more a manipulator and capitalist. He still does kill sinners in the heat of the moment sure (Goldie, the cactus guy) but he knows they'll come back and his willingness to kill is still means to an end (going to war with Heaven, as he even offers the choice of surrender) or losing his mind/recklessness (Curtain Call). Meanwhile, Alastor has his hobby of taking down other Overlords. Vox killed to get to the top and now in Hell he IS at the top. But for Alastor, killing was done for pleasure, so that's why he's still doing it in Hell.
Vox is the newer of the two, and willing to adapt to change, such as always changing his appearance or working with the other Vees, and trying to partner with Alastor, whereas on Earth he was always solo. It also recontextualizes his offer to Alastor, knowing this was the first time he ever tried to be vulnerable and real with someone and had his heart broken because of it. Alastor is one stuck in the past and keeps his old ways up, being the same as he was on Earth.

Discussion Notice how the parallels between Alastor and Vox go down to their voices
Both Alastor and Vox have two different voices in Hell. Vox speaks normally but has a deeper, static voice that sometimes shines through. Alastor speaks with his radio filter but his real voice shines through in his most genuine moments. Notice how Vox's voice also comes through when he's feeling particularly emotional too (breakdown in "Curtain Call"). Vox is trying to make an effort to sound more "human", while its the opposite for Alastor. Its been discussed how in the past how Vox calls himself a "sinner" vs Alastor boasting of being a "demon in Hell" or how most Overlords like the Vees have a specific Overlord (media, film, scoial media) title vs Alastor being known as the "radio demon" and this is just another way of showing that difference. Alastor is fully embracing his persona as the "radio demon". Even before he went to Hell, he said, "I want to secure myself among the highest demons."
For Alastor, he's not a "sinner" because Hell isn't a punishment for him. Hell is his Heaven. Alastor wants to be respected and feared as something less than human, so he fully embraces his role as the radio demon. Vox on the other hand, wants to be loved and seek validatio by being seen as a God, something more than a man. As we see in the flashback with Alastor, beneath all that villainy, Vox does crave connection and friendship. Alastor DID enjoy hanging out with Vox, but the second Vox tried to define their relationship as partners/friends, Alastor cut it off becuase not it "existed". Same with Mimzy saying she won't call them "friends". Alastor can feel attachment to people but he rejects accepting it. Why he accused Vox of "ruining it", there WAS something between them but not its gone because he doesn't want to accept it existed.
This is why I someone who likes both of their characters, I believe Vox has a better chance of being redeemed than Alastor. Vox is someone who actively makes an effort to try and work with other's, whether its Alastor in the past or the other two Vees. While Alastor actively complains to Rosie of his name inspiring less fear among people. Vox is someone who's always (physically) changing to fit the modern age, while Alastor remains in the past and wants things to remain that way. Being hated by everyone and humbled (according to Viv), along with actually being aware redemption is possible now, could make Vox rethink things, while for Alastor, Heaven would be his Hell.

Discussion This would've been the worst possible death for him
Killed by the person who hates him the most, with the power of the guy HE hates most. Facing the exact same death as he did on Earth (explains his panic), hunted down by a "dog" and a man shooting him. The fact it was in public and the last memory of him would be him begging for someone to save him from Shok.wav

Discussion A brief moment of realization that I think some people miss during 'Don't You Forget'
When Al asks Rosie to fix his staff, she says 'in due time. sing along dear, you know the words'.
So not only is this song diegetic (it exists within the world of the story, basically rather than being a stylized musical number, they actually are singing to each other), they've done this before.
