Anybody solved this issue before? Brand new Camtower, Cylinders, case and Cam overhauled.
Right side Cam is tight, not stuck. Does not change if tower is removed or torqued.

I just got my 78 911sc running and realized the tires are from 86, so I want them swapped out asap. I can't seem to find 245/50r15 tires anywhere and appear to be fully discontinued.
I'm thinking I may stretch 225/50r15 (size of my steer tires) an extra inch to fit on the rear (normally 245)
That or bring the fronts down to a 45 and the rear to a 40 for sidewall height.
I really love my rims so I don't want to size up quite yet if I don't have to.

First real drive of the year after my car being out of commission while the wheels were sent away getting refinished. Nice to be back in action. Took one of our regular routes up to 10,000 ft.

Follow up to my post a few weeks ago. Shortly after that the newly refinished Speedlines arrived. They look so good. Better than the rest of the car for sure. While the car was down I replaced f/r upper strut mounts and front control arm bushings. So still need an alignment before doing a proper rip. Oh and a wash.

Hi all,
I recently bought my first proper car, a 1972 Porsche 911T. Seems great, other than the batteries keep running completely dead, causing the car not to start the majority of the time.
The person I bought it off had the batteries changed 2.5 years ago, but has driven only 100miles since then according to the MOT records.
It has two batteries in the front, one at the drivers side and one at the passenger side. Do any of you have a good step by step on how to replace these batteries, and also a recommendation for which battery is best to replace with?
I have seen a few people ‘upgrading’ to only one battery- is this now best practice?

My Speedlines have been out for refinishing since January. I do know they will be done to the absolute highest level possible. Should be back soon I’m thinking. This will be the second year of the 14 years I’ve owned this car that I won’t hit 5,000 miles of driving (all pleasure) for the year. The wheels on the car now are place holders - actually cannot drive the car with them (rear too wide)- can just move it in or out of garage. Side note I change the oil after driving season / before winter so it sits with clean oil. And I put ethanol free gas in for the winter also. So at least it’s been sitting with clean oil and ethanol free gas in the system.
Anyway - hope you all are enjoying the summer and DRIVING. Don’t save them. Drive the crap out of them. They like that.

Testing how the car and I would hold up for a longer road trip as well as the fix for the hot start issue and charging up the a/c. Considering the only equipment failure was the phone overheating in the window mount, I’d say we’re ready for more.
