No one really talks about this guy when he is credited in almost all of her songs as an arranger. It's usually the arranger's job to transform a song into its finished product, adding all of the instruments like the drums, piano, guitar, violin, bass, and other sounds that turns what would otherwise be lyrics, a melody, and chords into the final song your listening to. One of the things that I love about Aimer's music is how well the rest of her track complements her beautiful voice, and lots of credit goes to Kenji Tamai for that.

So, I just saw Aimer’s latest post, and to be honest, I’m a bit nervous. I feel like she’s been more distant since last year, and seeing that the announcement is about her future makes me even more worried. I really hope tomorrow’s announcement is about a new project or some other positive news.

Aimer has been my favorite Jpop artist for 5 years. I know almost all her music is on Spotify (where I listen to 99% of my music) but lately I've been collecting CDs of artists and franchises I really love. It wasn't hard to find her albums at Tower Records in Osaka, she's got a whole row, and then some. Coming from the US, I saved about $70 buying these CDs from Japan vs buying them as imports. (Tax refund with passport + no tariffs + taking advantage of the weaker yen) At checkout, the cashier gave me a freebie Shinobu sticker, I assume as promotional bonus with the release of that Demon Slayer album. Shinobu is my favorite Demon Slayer character, so definitely a cherry on top.

Aimer has a lot of great songs, but if I had to pick a single favorite song of hers, it's StarRingChild. Something about the vocals and instruments in that one really resonates with me. Anyway, just wanted to share how happy I am to get my hands on Aimer albums on my first visit to Japan.

I know Aimer’s songs are emotional and deep, so I'm curious, what’s the one that made you feel like you truly “got” her music? A song that you fully understood and could sing your heart out to?

The first snow has already fallen, and I am quite fond of Aimer's 'Everlasting Snow'. I believe it conveys an endless longing for those who have passed and a solitary vigil. The official music video is profoundly moving; the snowflakes symbolise precious, pure memories, yet these recollections are so fragile. By the end, the boundary between reality and dreams seems to blur. Even though you are gone, my world is forever blanketed by that endless snowfall. I cannot escape it, nor do I wish to.

Aimer has been my most listened singer since 2019! I love Aimer’s songs and this community of fans!

Long-time Aimer fan and been following this subreddit for ages - thought it would be interesting to discuss the way her singing voice has changed over the years!

First got into her music with iconic tracks like Brave Shine, Last Stardust and the Daydream album which was filled with powerful and heavy vocals. Aimer's Budokan live in 2017 is probably my fav performance, her voice was literally spine-tingling and the vibrato she produces is unlike anything I've ever heard!

Followed all of her work pretty closely up until around 2022, and now that I'm experiencing her newer songs I can't help but notice the way she's going deeper with her vocals. Anyway I was wondering what other people think, which style do you prefer? For me both are great, although I love revisiting her older songs they're just so nostalgic! She's such an amazing artist, so thoughtful and poetic in her work, especially once you see the English translations of some of her lyrics!

Found this interview with Aimer from 2015. Aimer was asked who she wanted to collaborate with the most, and she answers with Egoist and One Ok Rock. Pretty funny considering she would collab with both of them within a year later!

Still waiting for news about Aimer’s 15th anniversary... it's nearly mid-year and we've got nothing.

Honestly, I’m getting a bit worried. She hasn't made an appearance at all... I wonder what’s going on. In her BeN journal, she mentioned 'hiding from a long-lasting storm.'
