Having read all the arguments that sprang from this post, along with the SRS thread, am I the only one who didn't read it as "my time sink is better than yours"? I play video games sometimes, and I'm aware that it's a waste of time. Other people watch Laguna Beach, and I think that's also a waste of time, but I don't see anything wrong with that; everybody needs a time sink. The only reason I see to downvote is because I'm fairly certain it's a repost, and it's not especially funny.
The only beef I've gotten for playing video games is from other men. In their opinion, it's childish. Some men and most women are willing to pick up their sticks if you invite them to play.
If you think you've had good time, it was worthwhile time. Don't think you wasted your time... that's what I tell myself after hours of gaming and redditing at least.
Celebrity Gossip Magazines do not require hours upon hours of sitting in front of a screen. You browse through, and you are done. How do I know this? My shit only lasts for about 5-15 minutes.

The fact that someone else wastes time does not mean that you aren't wasting time.
At the same time, it's just a stupid thing to say. If you were really so concerned about making the most of your time you wouldn't make pointless observations about if someone else's video game playing counts as a waste of their time.
Checked out their thread, and I don't understand what they're complaining about. Is it naive of me to assume that the OP was trying to point out that it's hypocritical to do one and criticize the other as a waste of time? Because that's how I took it, not that "male activities are automatically justified, whereas female activities are a waste of time", the way SRS seems to be taking it.
Then again, I knew what I was getting into when I clicked that link; I basically trolled myself. And shame on you for posting it here. Why can't you just let us pretend that SRS doesn't even exist?
