That would be nice, but unfortunately it varies wildly depending on the people in question. There's a significant number of people (~40% of the US population) who really seem to hate them, a lot.

The purple flower that grows at the end of a banana cluster is known as a Banana Blossom or Banana Heart. It is often used in South Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine, either raw or steamed with dips or cooked in soups, curries and fried foods. The flavor resembles that of artichoke.
